My advice - Don't hang your hat on the Jim Racliffe/INEOS hat stand. I have been watching INEOS right from the beginning. They only buy distressed assets. If they can't get assets for about 30% of book value, they walk away. Just like they did fom Conoco. They are are extremeky shrewd business people. They can afford to be, it's a private company. You will not get full value from INEOS.

I've bought in variouslty between 30 and 38p. I am simply gobsmaked that we are even now, weeks away from FOIL, well below 50p.

I think we have a buyers strike amongst the oil majors who are 100% certain to be watching and are looking for a bargain addition to their UK reserves. And we have onvious trading by CA and likely others that's really holding things back for us LTBHers. I expect one day, the share price will launch unexpectedly upwards, followed by a bid a day or two later. Numerous examples of that, even quite recently.

Regarding dspp's comment below, on the Hannam work (I hesitate to call it research) I understood this was work commissioned and paid for by HUR. Is it not? OK, if I'm wrong on that. But, if I'm right, then the fudge factors will have been vetted by HUR before release to the public domain.

SP is suffering from selling into strength, as others here have noted. Left to run, I'm sure we would be well north of 60p now. But folks are trading the daylights out of it is my guess.

Risk wise, nelieve me, the engineeeing risk is mostly behind us now. Things can go wrong at any time, naturally but oil men are used to adversity. It comes with territory. The risk right now for me is all in the geology. And nobody here can second guess Dr Trice. Make no mistake he'll be triple checking and quaruple checking everything right now. I have every confidence in him and his company

Not quite at that level yet. But I am simply gob smacked that you can still buy into Hurricane less than 50p a pop. My boots are overflowing, I am not buying more but anyone late to the party must think it's Christmas.

That's tight. There's a smaller Norwegian player too, forget their name just now. The thinking emerging is that BP up at Clair Ridge is perhaps the conventional reservoir is being fed from deeper basement resources. It is rumoured BPare quietly working on that concept. It's really quite possible when you look at the underlying geology that the fractured granite basement could extend for many, many miles along the western side of the UKCS. Only speculation but this huge area on the atlantic margins is pretty much untouched for serious O&G exploration. Hurricane Energy could be only the beginning.
