Thank you all for answering - just find it tricky sometimes as my knowledge is a bit limited - think he was stressy bec he hadn’t got any Sirius shares!

Carondean - I understand about capital gains tax etc but this person said it was illegal to sell shares at a higher price and buy them back at a cheaper price and make a profit - you had to wait 30 days before you could buy them back at a cheaper price . I have tried to look it up but people on here have said they’ve sold SXX at say 30p and bought back a week later at 25p. I don’t understand how that’s illegal. I started to disagree but just gave up!

Sorry to ask probably a basic question but having a conv with someone the other day and they said it is illegal to sell shares and buy them back at a lower price within 30 days - but isn’t that just trading? They said I would be breaking the law but I assumed that rule was for company directors etc. Again apologies if it’s something I should know - I know about bed and isa

Haha - currently on ‘girls trip’ - conversation has gone from great concern about my Sirius share purchase to discussing how much the share price has to be before I can buy a villa in Portugal!!

Like LL I’m quite interested in what your original stake was - how cool now to put it into Sirius at this stage and if all goes well how much could that original amount grow! Having been to the races quite recently and missed out on an accumulator by one place in the last race I’m very jealous of your win!

Hi potashman, I can’t tell you how many bob’s I’ve met. I seem to attract them. I suppose if I get into a conversation about Sirius I tend to get over excited but I will remember who they are and if it does all go to plan have great pleasure in telling them so!

Maybe the current share price already has ‘the fear of dilution’ built into it

What I find quite hard to get my head around with Sirius is bec of the votality of the share price in recent years many investors who bought low will be pleased and thinking today’s share price is at last getting somewhere but there are also lots of investors who paid 35+ who will be very frustrated with it as it’s still well below their average. I know this can be said of all shares but before I bought and was reading up on Sirius 35p was considered by many to be a bargain and that was around Sept 2016. It does show that 32/33p is still a bargain price
