What I find hard on social media platforms like LSE is when people just play games that may influence others to lose money.
I get how people who aren’t invested might post to research a company … but WSG …. I don’t find you entertaining - I’m not interested in what jet setting lifestyle you have or your rich friends or your friend that apparently lost money in Rock. I was - because I was sorry - because actually that’s the way I am. But now I feel stupid because there’s obviously no friend.
I’m not in any crew or any gang and would never want to be. I’m just invested in Rock because I like the company, got a good chance of making some money - I don’t care about anyone else - what’s important is what I think - I’m sure like everyone else here - no one should be here investing their hard earned money if they can’t think for themselves.
I want to read about and research the share I’m invested in - I appreciate anyone who provides research and their thoughts/opinions - I’ll take it or I’ll leave it - that’s what this forum is for. But i am very capable of making up my own mind. My decision, my good, my bad, my whatever .
It’s a horrible and unsettling time at the moment - people are struggling across most walks of life - that’s just the way it is and it’s a very very difficult time for an awful lot of people.
Why can’t you go away and leave us all alone? ….. I know ….because you’re a paid deramper … and one of those cost me a lot of money a couple of years ago. If you’re genuinely not then I’m afraid your acting like one.
I try hard to not rise to posters, particularly on LSE, but you and the way you are posting is completely out of order
This board is not a pantomime with good guys and bad guys - it’s a serious investment for serious investors
‘Never jiffy , nothing to gain from everyone just agreeing with the top table boys , you need debate and opposing views’
Well that’s not what’s it’s like on Telegram or I certainly wouldn’t be there - I like debate and opposing views - just can’t handle paid derampers jumping out of the woodwork when they think their posts will have the most affect.
When I was invested in SXX in what was a difficult time for investors we had a paid basher called illbetabuck. Believable at first to get everyone’s attention, slowly then changing the way he posted. Ended up posting 24/7 even on Xmas Day. One morning he got named and shamed as a paid deramper and then he disappeared. I don’t know why WSG is posting in the way that he is but it’s beginning to remind me of the way illbetabuck posted. I’ll leave it at that now - it’s not worth it
And a message from me ….. please ‘folks’ don’t get taken in by WSG’s posts .. no one could possibly write such weird attention seeking posts and be genuine
Am currently in Spain and just noticed SP. Yes it’s uncomfortable and seems crazy SP but so much going on in the world is at the moment. I’m worried and concerned about all of that but not about GGP - don’t care about those who seem to dine out on days like today at other investors expense or others who’s actions I can’t control.
Because most of us don’t know each other from Adam It’s weird when you’re on a chat where you actually do know someone being discussed. Especially when they being made out to be something that they’re just not. Ignore Quint - and I bet Jasper’s decent as well!
Lovely to spend some time with Stag Gang last night - (missed those that couldn’t make it) and then back to listen to results show - thanks Bottle and Stuart.
Another good set of results from GGP. I’m not going anywhere!
Thanks for standing down.
Would also like to say I appreciate OMM posts and I hope he still posts on here so that others can have access to his great research and not just his telegram group. Of course - everyone should do their own research as well - that’s what these boards should be about. Everyone must own themselves the shares they buy and sell.
“I can’t wait to read the comment on the telegram group when I buy 10,000,000 at 0.17p, they love a screenshot of my comments on there and Twitter, they might even pin it”
Sorry but that’s the sort of comment that reminds me why generally I stay away from LSE. You come on here to try and research a share on your watchlist ….. it’s just so unhelpful
Not going to post again on here as this is not good for the company that most of us are invested in and I’ve been here before with other shares I hold. It’s depressing and not helping investor sentiment.
It seems to be a thing on LSE, particularly, when someone posts their extensive research, which lets face it takes time and effort, they get blamed and become a target when SP doesn’t live up to expectations. Not only blamed but pushed and pushed until they are forced to defend themselves.
It’s currently happening on another share I’m invested in - I know the owner of the group well and know he is still heavily invested, lost a lot of money on paper and also entirely genuine in posting his research. He was/is very upbeat, enthusiastic and passionate about the company he invested in. At one point he was the hero as SP triple bagged about eighteen months ago. Then all the delays caused by world wide events hit and now SP has completely crashed as many in the biotech sector have - worse than Rock. However, he’s still invested and still believes and getting so much abuse particularly on Twitter it’s unreal. He did the same opened a private group on Telegram where you had to prove ownership.
Let’s face it if you’ve built up a big position on a share you are going to be positive and enthusiastic and maybe to some too much - why wouldn’t you be? I would!
There are some around who really can do damage to companies - posters paid to deramp and unsettle existing shareholders - that’s why some larger investors in companies choose to have private groups - it’s not that popular, and I do get that - but everyone has a choice to stay or go.
However, I do think that in the case of WSG’s friend (which mainly started all this) if I had built up a large holding in Rock with a high average based on someone else’s research I find it odd he didn’t just stay in the group. If I hadn’t the confidence in my own research I would have just for the sake of proving ownership! Maybe it just proves perhaps he shouldn’t really have been investing in the first place - you have got to know what you’re doing. In this game.
Anyway I’m very grateful to anyone for their research on shares I’m invested in. I don’t have to be best friends with anyone, or even like them, we’re all faceless behind a keyboard but I do start to care if I think people are harming my investment and I think that’s been happening on here.
So that’s why for the sake of proving I’m a shareholder I’d rather be in a private group any day than an LSE chat. Plus if I decide I don’t like the owner I can just leave the group! Easy!
“Breaking news: Rockfire now down 60-80% from the much ramped NO-BRAINER territory of last year!
Even for me with no IQ that looks like a very dodgy deal... ;”
lol - thank God I haven’t got someone like WSG posting on all the other shares in my portfolio that I’m heavily down on at the moment. Think I’d just give up hope on all of them and just chuck it all in!
Seriously though what you WSG should realise is what you are doing now is just as harmful to people who read these boards as those that you accuse of ramping. You could be influencing people to crystallise a loss without posting anything substantial to qualify that. I’m all for balanced boards with pros and cons - it’s important - and I do like to hear constructive negatives as well and it’s what these boards should be for - but the way you are posting now is not right.
We know what you think, I’m truly very sorry for your friend, but at the end of the day we all have to own what we buy and sell as difficult and costly as that sometimes is - you just can’t allow strangers on bulletin to influence you.
WhiteSuitGuy - your last post is just weird
Used to be on LSE all the time and thought I’d catch up with a few of my shares. Some of the recent posts on here remind me why I stay away.
Sadly it’s a sign of the times we’re in - firstly we had Brexit, then the Pandemic and now this horrific war. Sadly many people have lost huge amounts on paper whilst being invested in good companies.
There is no doubt that there are paid derampers on LSE and people trying to influence you to benefit themselves. That’s why I stay away mainly now unless it’s on a share chat with investors that I actually know and have met. Unfortunately you have to own yourself what you buy and you can’t blame anyone else - especially when those you blame are still heavily invested themselves and hugely researched and still believe.
You can’t trust anyone - but for myself I trust my investment in Rock. Like many of my shares I’m underwater, trying not to look at SP. I am very sorry for those though for any that have to crystallise losses - it’s very difficult times for many but coming on here writing detailed posts trying to influence others as to why they shouldn’t be investing in Rock when your not invested yourself is not on either
I was very sad not to be able to attend yesterday’s Town Hall meeting - would have loved to have been there. But thank you to those that have reported back - the right people went and have kindly given their thoughts and I don’t feel I’ve missed out so much now!
Also thank you so much Dip666 for your Webinar notes - I did manage to watch today but your notes are brilliant.
One thing’s for sure - we’ve got interesting and exciting times ahead! Love being a GGP shareholder - SP is annoying now but so much to look forward to
Thank you very much for posting on here oilmanmike - much appreciated
Just a great post
Hi Chesh, nice to see you here! But feel like we’ve been in a similar scenario before!
