mainly instituional holders so they won't let this go cheap imo and why should they. BoE has hinted at interest rate rise and it is more than likely that will happen in the near future imv. Remember tangible assets are at multiples of the current sp, so valuable. Nothing stopping other banks bidding for metro either, so things could very well hot up.

There's nothing stoppoing other bidders entering the arena here - if you look at shortv tracker, Odey reduced his short -he still has a large amount to close out and any bid war could tip the balance, as offer can land any time ahead over the coming days.

buy backs to close those shorts - odey will be closing now and i expect other banks maybe circling like standard chartered - this is truely great news and tangible asset price is multiples of the current share price so i expect the uptrend to continue
