Looking on this insightful platform it seems there are quite a few discreditors - one is stating that Minty and Burton are leaving. Selling crypto to the masses always requires rubbishing and knocking down PIs current investment choices...apparently.

The sliding share price is avoidable IMO, you should not be in a position of SP decline to this extend during updates. It clearly indicates lack of faith and the perceived risk of further sliding. Managing the flow of news and giving accurate timelines will help mitigate what we are seeing - it isn't great. Investing is a risk in itself but who wants to be buying in, holding whilst seeing a 20% or more reduction on their buy in and then keep all fingers crossed for the big one. I can understand the frustrations here.

Sharelock the tweet did not point out that there weren't any issues - it actually said "some spurious comments have been made regarding operations at GHS". Without identifying what those comments, the specifics and the context we do not know anything. He is merely pointing out that the only accurate information is that posted in the RNS and not online by the public (positive or negative).

There is an element of truth to this 'spreading risk' point of view - if you were a CEO of a company focusing their upmost on getting results would you have time to then run other companies and ventures? It is something that we should all be concerned about as LT holders, we should hold the board to account for their actions, it is our money. If you hired a builder and you drove past seeing him working on another house instead of the one you are paying him by the hour to you - would you find this acceptable? I don't. We probably shouldn't jump to defend the board at every turn when there are some valid questions here. Lets put pressure on NUOG to prove themselves and get results.

So, as previously discussed some time back MFDevCo is 'hiring' 4 heads (1 more than previously I believe). The line in the job desc. is "We are expanding our engineering department to support a number of upcoming marginal field projects". Sounds promising but I think these vacancies have been open for over 6 months....

So close I can taste it - I've got a feeling about this week! Maybe we should do a date prediction, winner doesn't have to contribute towards the champagne at the PI party!

marbur05 I don't agree that Simon's appointment is a joke - it is an important function within a PLC. He isn't helped by the use of twitter posts because it actually increases update expectation and amplifies any miscommunication. Conversely I personally think that his video on site at Garden Hills was a stroke of genius and is an example of the sort of communication we are all hoping for. For example a weekly Q&A video based off investor questions submitted, even if he said "this is not something I can answer" there will be an acknowledgement of the question.

Just to qualify what I am saying, I am a long term holder, an ex-Enegi Oil holder and keen to see this company become a revenue generator. What I don't understand is the lack of visibility and transparency of the who and hows of this business. This is best seen by the treatment and portrayal of Simon who has become a NUOG caricature punching bag for trolls, de-rampers and genuinely concerned investors alike. This juvenile attitude undermines the bare commercial facts (positive or negative) and acts only to put off potential investors looking for a serious place to invest.

What stops the BOD releasing details about current day to day activities - what does a working day look like? For many it will seem like there is a lot of sitting on hands in a staffless Manchester office. If my company working practices were being challenged I would jump at a chance to show how much hard work goes on behind the scenes. And before anyone mentions it - there would be no need to disclose any details that should be presented in an RNS.
