I read bits, mostly bull****. They say no organic growth which is false and also that they buy underperforming assets... of course they do, that's the strategy: buy underperforming assets for a cheap price and make them perform by leveraging future's competitive advantages
They can try so sell DermaSys as non prescription drug: easy access to market but can't boast about clinically proven or can study it against a true placebo (A truly inert product) and then try to find out the science that explains why it works so well
What path will they choose? I have no idea
I'm not angry, just highlighting there's a cohort of potential users like me who don't want viagra for the potential sides, longer onset time and overall inconvenience of taking pills. A gel would be much faster, sides limited to non existent and it would be also a synergic aid for those that still want or need viagra
Now, the question is, is DermaSys just a placebo? It seemed to beat Vitaros and be on par with Cialis, so beyond a placebo. It could be an accidental discovery same way propecia or viagra were but I have not seen any attempt from FUM to explain the science behind or do more research on it. I don't like FUM's management much
I wish there was a way to get a sample of DermaSys and try it out myself, can't wait for that to be available. Also, is there any information about the patent application for it? I guess it's been not published yet although probably filed so no way to find it without having the ref. number beforehand
I don't know what will happen long term, short to mid term, they should focus on growth rather than dividends. Now, if they get it right with their two jewels in the making, there might be so much cash in the bank that paying dividends made sense
I'm waiting for news like a hawk, any positive news regarding the pain relief cream (TPR100) or the use of DermaSys as an erection enhancer should make the price shoot up. Same could be said about bad news except the SP has already been overly punished recently.
DermaSys is a transdermal drug delivery cream, I'm not surprised it has vasoactive properties. However, it has to be compared against a true inert placebo for FUM to be able to market it as clinically proven.
It has beaten a true placebo already, as it beat Vitaros, which in turn had its own Phase III study. But FUM needs to be smart and get the study sorted.
I tend to agree with those that say management has found a potential jewel but they might not be up to the task, JB is probably in need some good advisors if he wants to pull this off. From the results, it's obvious DS is not a mere placebo as it has beaten competitors that are not.
My take on this: DermaSys beat Vitaros (another erection activating cream) by far, which has active ingredients that must have beaten placebo during their trials. So DermaSys is much better than a competitor, let alone a placebo.
Statistically, DermaSys, if it were a placebo alone, would have ranked much lower, so placebo effect does not explains the efficacy seen in this trials. That's why DermaSys is as good as DermaSys mixed with GTN, because the DermaSys on isolation works.
Now, there must be something in DermaSys, even though science is unclear atm and seems like a lucky discovery, and that is why FUM has filed a patent for it.
