Im sure laws that would impede a company will have repercussions on how the want to operate and then pay less taxes/ Companies are not stupid and will react accordingly to safeguard their position

What was the puprose of GSPC paying this? Are they trying to influence the courts someway that they are taking responsibility fr their share even though they owe o much. Will the courts be influenced by this to ensure that they main tain ownership. Seems like a cunning plan of some sort that will be taking into account when making final judgement. IMHO only.
