Bisnis.com , JAKARTA - SKK Migas hopes that PT Pertamina (Persero) can be more aggressive in oil and gas exploration activities after the issuance of several plans to release shares of share participation or share downstream assets of the company by the Minister of SOEs.

Head of Program and Communications Division Division of Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas), Wisnu Prabawa Taher, said that the plan to release or decrease the shares of this participation has the potential to provide efficiency in the company's performance.

"SKK Migas also hopes that through this strategic step Pertamina can make more aggressive efforts in exploring new upstream oil and gas reserves and more efficient in implementing the work program in upstream oil and gas," he said on Thursday (19/07/2018).

SKK Migas sees the green light from the Minister of SOEs to Pertamina already through careful consideration. It hopes this step can also improve the performance of the state-owned enterprises, especially in oil and gas working areas (WK).

"And can significantly encourage increased national oil and gas production," he added.

SKK Migas reported that the realization of oil and gas ready production in the first half of this year reached 1.92 million BOEPD or 96 percent of the target in the 2018 APBN of 2 million BOEPD.

This oil and gas lifesaving consists of realization of oil lifting of 771,000 BOPD, or 96% of the 2018 APBN 2018 target of BOPD. Meanwhile, the realization of natural gas lifting of 1.15 million BOEPD, or 96% of the target of 1.2 million BOEPD.

Of the 24 main oil and gas cooperation contractors (KKKS), four 4 petroleum crude oil and 3 gas KKKS owned by PT Pertamina (Persero) subsidiaries all of which incised lifting performance below target. The majority are also below the national average.
