RE: Down in the morning up in the afternoon18 Sep 2025 08:22
Totally fair to focus on funding, product, roadmap, contracts & revenue. A few facts to ground where DH (ALRT) actually is today:
1) Where DH fits (WhiteSpace + MoD ecosystem)
• DH’s path into defence is via its strategic partnership with WhiteSpace, the firm publicly selected to support MoD’s innovation drive. That means DH isn’t claiming a direct MoD prime contract today; it’s leveraging WhiteSpace’s position to co-develop and deliver software under a joint “Defence Technologies” brand.
2) Product progress (not just talk)
• On 10 Sep DH announced its first sovereign AI product build in information operations (“Project Ixian”), with WhiteSpace engineers integrating AI-native cloud alongside a Big Tech partner’s team.
• DH says Ixian was shaped through workshops with UK military end-users; management has also flagged more comms/Q&A sessions with the senior team.
3) Funding & cost base
• Recent warrant exercises brought in cash and reduce some overhang: 55,192,308 exercised (53.692m @ 0.325p, 1.5m @ 1.4p).
• For the full capital structure (incl. historic/legacy warrants), see the FCA-approved prospectus (28 Jul 2025).
4) “Relevance” vs the big names
• You’re right the headlines are Microsoft, Google, Fujitsu etc. Notably:
• The MoD’s £400m sovereign Google Cloud deal.
• Oracle’s UK sovereign AI expansion (part of a $5bn UK investment).
These validate the market DH is trying to plug into via WhiteSpace.
5) Roadmap & catalysts
• Near-term: continued Ixian build updates, any pilot/PoC deployments, and clarity on commercialisation (licensing/subscription into defence units). DH has signposted more SLT comms around this.
6) Valuation & risk
• The SP’s 6-month surge has been huge; without signed revenue contracts yet, execution risk is real. The flip side: it’s a software-led model (lighter capex than med-device makers like Genedrive), so converting even one paying deployment could be needle-moving.
• Recent filings put shares in issue ~622m, which helps frame mcap vs milestones (≈ £11m at 1.8p).
⸻
Bottom line: you’re right to ask for specifics. What we do have is (i) a formal WhiteSpace partnership, (ii) a live first product build (Ixian), and (iii) a cleaned-up 55.2m warrant exercise. What we still need are contracted revenues and clearer commercial terms. Until then, it’s higher-beta. Sensible to size positions accordingly.
