Developing Nations with access to cheap Coal have been hamstringing their economies at the behest of rich First World Nations who insist that "green" tech is the immediate future.

Well, the current prices of copper, and precious metals, makes it clear that the rich 1st World Nations are fast losing control of their economies. Meaning that Developing Nations will be forced to use cheap Coal or see hyperinflation and watch their people's starve before the revolutions begin.

This project will soon be approved or another leading politician might one day find themselves at the wrong end of the assassin's hand gun!

The BBC's is a much more balanced article, but I can't help thinking that it has been written solely with protecting Kevan Jones' reputation. Basically, it portrays Mr. Jones as making "valid" enquires, rather than conducting, for reasons very much unknown, a witch-hunt against HARL.
