Hi stokey. Because they started this. Seems like they might have powerful friends in the media to help ensure the share price stays low. They'll need them now, as the influence of their fast dwindling share pool is likely becoming an irrelevancy. Just my opinion.

Might the MoD be funding us large because the powers-that-be have finally realized that British Steel if too expensive to sell overseas, especially since Net Zero targets make our energy more and more expensive, and that UK manufacturing - especially Ship Building and Wind Farms - is a good way of using a product the few, outside the UK currently can afford to buy? The very survival of the the United Kingdom as a First World nation and basic economics dictate here. The contracts, and profits, will come. And the highly paid financial analysts of Killik will have lots of egg of their faces!

Without tariff-free steel being allowed into Northern Ireland the UK steel industry will be in TATA's. The nation needs a home for the steel produced in its remaining blast-furnaces. And without blast-furnaces we cease to be a 1st World nation capable of fighting a modern war. So, this should be non-issue that HARL will benefit from!

slowlyslowly. Well pointed out. So, buying out KAT's interest in Tanzania and joining forces with POW for the Hanetti nickel project might still be on the cards! Although, exploiting South Africa still sounds like a plan to me, as the West only has eyes for the Ukraine.

Legalwolf. It appears that the BoD have seen reason and are finally going to drill where the "proven" assets are.
As for South Africa? Well, I have shares in I3E - an oil company that would have gone bust, save for exploiting Canadian firms who didn't hedge their output prior to covid. So, it's possible that we might find a company or two in massive financial distress in a country set to implode due to hyper-inflation.

JP2000. We hit the iron oxide copper-gold or nickel/copper sulphide in the GRS and become rich. As for exploiting South Africa in its time of great need. Well, that's no different to what the Western nations will do to the Ukraine, should it win the war. There's money to be made when there's blood on the pavement.
