Buried in this article an interesting statement saying the miners need to invest $2-3 bn to raise output. Or perhaps invest that money somewhere else?

I have been invested here a long time originally with a small Canadian oil company that had a field in Colombia which was then purchased by GTE.

Colombia is a risky place to do business but GTE has done so with success. The plan to buy a Canadian oil producer seems a fair exchange of cash & shares assuming the annual production figs are maintained.

Unexpected, we are buying a Canadian Oil Company......fair enough.

I lost money yesterday on the news. Re checked NXQ on my FT portfolio and confirmed that this company is cash rich and now currently trading at its quoted NAV. I decided to add and average down.

Good post, now just a matter of patience. It would have been nice to have hit 10% up but 5% will do.
