Can’t find any RNS released today on https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news?tab=today-s-news

This gives some good info on dividends and special dividends as cash, probably not good news for people outside an ISA as its a small allowance and taxed rather high(differently to CGT).
If its part shares in NN god only knows but I think a few people mentioned contacting their brokers to be told it would not be able to be held in their ISA so would be taxed?
Martingw , how are you interpreting the reply?
I think this is still a good possibity.
https://www.nornickel.com/business/assets/kola/
"Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company (Kola MMC) is Nornickel’s 100% subsidiary. Located on the Kola Peninsula, it is the Company’s nickel refining hub and a leading industrial facility in the Murmansk Region."
https://corporatefinanceinstitute.com/resources/knowledge/deals/subsidiary-merger/
"A subsidiary merger is a type of merger that occurs when the acquiring company uses its subsidiary company to acquire a target company. The acquirer may create a subsidiary company or use one of its existing subsidiary companies to execute the merger and acquisition transaction. In a subsidiary merger, the acquired company is merged with the subsidiary of the acquirer rather than merging directly with the acquiring company (the parent company) in a regular M&A deal."
Of course the whole thing may be unrelated, but your reply doesnt rule it out as far as I can see.
I was checking a few of NN’s previous notifications similar to the one we are hoping is about us and they are not normally shy about naming the company they are discussing on there forms.
Here’s an example from 14th October 2020 which is very similar to “our” one.
https://e-disclosure.ru/portal/event.aspx?EventId=kZ3TBi9pfkSV8oy77VbTpw-B-B
“3. Agenda of the meeting of the issuer's board of directors:
1. On the transaction between PJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel and Thyssen Schachtbau GmbH (conclusion of addendum No. ?? / 462-2011 / ?33-26DS to contract No. ?? / 462-2011 / ?33 dated 25.05.2011). “
Here is our one again ....

“3. Agenda of the meeting of the issuer's board of directors:
1. On the Company's transaction. “
Can only see a few reasons for the secrecy and the main one would be, as suggest previously, an NDA.
Timing fits with us.... let’s hope we find out today or before market opens Monday.
Just in case anyone is interested in the difference between a speeding ticket and a noted rise RNS here are a couple of examples I posted the day the noted rise RNS arrived.

Just three occasions this year where the involved released a statement confirming no reasons known for the rises.
Eurasia Mining PLC 12 October 2020
"Eurasia Mining plc notes the recent significant rise in the Company's share price.
There have been no new developments requiring formal notification beyond those included in the Company's announcement of interim results on 30 September 2020."
https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/EUA/statement-re-share-price-movement/14716074
No new developments requiring formal notification...
Plenty of reasons for the rise though and one of these will be the expected sale price.
If the SP had reached or was very close to the expected sale price then surely we would see the "no known reasons" line???
