Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd, (TMB) is a Botswana registered Company transitioning from copper exploration into developing a substantial 12-year open pit mine and ore processing operation in Ghanzi District. The Role
This key position will develop and implement long-term strategies for effective Communication & Community Relations
management, aligned with national legislation, international best practises as well as TMB’s overall strategic
objectives.
The role will supervise the community relations and communication team and adhere to the Company’s Safety,
Health, and Environmental compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement Divisional strategies including the TMB Communications Strategy and Plan
• Develop and implement Divisional operational standards, policies and procedures
• Maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders and community groups
• Manage public and stakeholder relationships with national and local authorities, holding consultations and
regular briefings on Company operations and activities
• Participate in social and environmental impact assessments, to meet national legislation and international
best practices, and provide advice and recommendations to TMB management
Technical Competencies
• Thorough understanding of Communication systems, best practices and principles
• Thorough understanding of key Stakeholder engagement and relations management

Qualification and experience
• Degree in Public Relations/Communications or equivalent
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Community and/or Public Relations role with preference given to candidates who can demonstrate experience in a mining, construction or industrial environment. Of which, 5
years shall have been served at Section Manager Level.
• A valid light duty driver’s license is mandatory.....more
