On March 5th 2025 Oak Securities set a valuation of 1.48p on Predator. Since then Predator has accumulated a vast amount of data in Morocco.

Predator highlighted the strengthening of its collaboration with the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) and the Moroccan authorities.

Under the new model, ONHYM will be allowed to form subsidiaries and take part in the capital of other companies.

ONHYM recently had a recruitment drive for various new staff, amongst the post on offer were:

Drilling and Oil Production Technicians,

Reservoir Engineer,

Oil Exploration Geologist.

Gas sales:

Memorandum of Understanding executed for the purchase natural gas; designing, funding, constructing and operating an LNG distribution network; and to provide the services of selling and distributing LNG to industrial and commercial users in Morocco.

Tw could be correct regarding RNS. If not the content then certainly the fact of an RNS can be leaky. Technically oversold we are told. I’d agree. 4p or thereabouts seems a reasonable loitering range whilst we wait then push on hopefully. Solid financial news gives figures to work with , steadies the investing base and allows an environment where new investors can do what the larger shareholders have already done. And so in essence, a serious collector gets access to all the documentation that the general public never sees (mainly because it’s pointless unless you’re seriously interested), potential buyers of Guercif will receive: The updated CPR, reprocessed seismic, integrated petrophysics, full basin models, proprietary reservoir maps and the upside across both fan systems and underlying plays and this is why PRD doesn’t need another well right now! The suitors see the real file, not the public brochure available in dealerships. Serious operators prefer assets before first production because they’re cheaper, they can apply their own technology, they choose the drilling fluids based on the data PRD have pulled together, they avoid repeating the formation damage mistakes and they get the full upside of the entire basin model whilst we retain 51%. Which is exactly why Paul said,“I do not need the gas to flow to get a deal done.” And this is just like the Irish deal, done purely off the inspection file, not a road test.

PRD isn’t selling a half built kit car with parts from every manufacturer, they’re selling a rare classic with a massive history folder with confirmed engine (working petroleum system), multiple inspection reports (logs, petrophysics, samples), HPI clear and straight chassis (seismic & reservoir models), proven originality and upside (the areal extent) and importantly a specialist broker, (Scorpion, Equiom etc).

The buyer doesn’t need to watch it redline down the motorway, the paperwork already proves what the engine can do and therefore, divestment is happening exactly the way a proper asset sale should.

I’m going to stick with my analogy of the classic car from the other day.

Divestment of Guercif is NOT about seeing gas flow on camera, it’s about the technical “vehicle file” so basically the equivalent of:

• well logs are your engine diagnostics

• gas samples are the fuel quality analysis

• petrophysics is the internal engine condition

• seismic interpretation is the chassis & structural mapping

• reservoir mapping is the drivetrain alignment

• analogue evaluation are the known comparable models

• prospective resources is the future tuning potential

• basin geological model is the overall engineering pedigree

• working petroleum system is the proof the engine really runs

The test drive (flow test) is nice to have, but the buyer already knows whether the car is legit from the documentation.

And PRD’s documentation is enormous.

Following on from MadmanRob, PRD have made available to Scorpion Geoscience an extensive database…

That’s the classic car equivalent of handing the complete inspection folder to a specialist broker.

The process now is:

PRD —> Scorpion (the broker) —> Buyers

Scorpion’s role is to:

• verify all the technical “inspection sheets”

• package the data into a buyer-friendly evaluation

• prepare private Data Rooms

• present the asset to qualified suitors

This is exactly what Paul meant in the video when he said the divestment process already being underway.

But that’s like saying a collector won’t buy a rare classic car until they’ve seen it tearing down the motorway.

That’s not how serious buyers operate.

A proper collector buys based on provenance, documentation, and the inspection file.

If the chassis is clean, the engine numbers match, the panels are original, the compression readings are good, and the history folder is immaculate — the deal is done long before the first spirited drive.

MOU-5 drilling results have importantly established for the first time the presence of Triassic salt in this part of the Guercif Basin.

The gas is certainly there.

The trolls argument is that we have not produced anything.

Management comments is:

There is enough data available to sell.

What is undeniable is:

We have found gas in multiple logs. Our well engineer says the gas could flow with the right treatment on Mou-3.

He would not say anything like that if there was no gas.

Formation damage has been the issue to date.

Our next well will use all available data and drilling technology to overcome the enormous amount of gas pressure.

KEITH.OZ. .. .. @Miidas. Yes, this is a viable option. Sidetracking can be performed with a well that is already cased, and SLB, Baker-Hughes etc do this routinely, usually with a one-trip system with anchor, whipstock, and mill, which cuts a window in the casing in one run. While you are correct that a single sidetrack will cost substantially less than a new well, the issue then becomes how you would sidetrack into multiple reservoirs at different depths and pressures. While this could be done, someone would need to do a detailed cost: benefit analysis compared to a completely new well.

Any potential acquirer of the Guercif assets will have the technical competence to assess the existing data, and would be examining these options as part of their proposed field development plan. What some here are conveniently forgetting is that only shallow, onshore wells are required. Side track or new, this is cheap work compared to most O & G drilling. Analysis of the wireline logs by NuTech, and cuttings by Rockwash, have indicated exactly what needs to be done, and now we are at the stage of deciding what is the most cost-effective solution.

I should perhaps point out that both NuTech and Rockwash have comparative data on literally thousands of wells, not just the five MOU's, and use machine learning / AI to support their detailed interpretations.

KEITH.OZ. .. ., .. There are still prunes on here responding negatively to my suggestion that correct geology takes millions of years, but getting the engineering right is a matter of months. They should read the small print on all offerings of financial products: "Past performance is not an indication of future performance".

We have two factors at Guercif that are simultaneously both a fantastic geological opportunity and a pain in the engineering backside.

These are 1). highly friable and unconsolidated gas reservoirs that allow storage and flow of high volumes of gas, and 2). high gas pressure. Both obviously opportunities. However, the high gas pressure resulted in drilling with high pressure mud to avoid the risk of a blowout. As always, it is usual to err on the side of caution. This caution resulted in the use of a higher mud weight than was actually needed, causing the drilling mud to be forced deep into the loose reservoir sands, making deep enough perforation and gas flow to surface very difficult.

Yes, there were a couple of attempts that did not work, but being engineering problems each took a few months to try a new approach. PRD management have now sought input from the top consulting firms, and agreed that the drilling mud pressure would only need to be reduced by 8% to achieve the right result - suppression of blowout without excess drilling mud migration. So, on to the next, and hopefully final solution - MOU-6 is being designed from scratch with input from external expertise, using the substantial data that has been generated from drilling all the Guercif wells. We will learn of the design when it is no longer commercially sensitive to reveal details. I strongly suspect it will be designed not to involve the need for perforation.

Several possibilities that do not involve perforation most common in unconsolidated gas sands: * Slotted liner (cut slots in pipe)-

* Stand-alone screens (wire-wrapped, premium mesh)

* Open-hole gravel pack

* Cased-hole gravel pack (with internal screen + slotted casing)

* Pre-packed screens (resin-coated gravel around screen)

These methods are not “work-arounds” for avoiding perforation – they are often the preferred completion technique for high-deliverability gas reservoirs. Once installed across a gas zone, the well behaves exactly like a perforated completion from a flow-measurement standpoint. Flow rates are measured exactly the same way as in perforated wells, but if there are multiple reservoirs at different pressures, then downhole flowmeters run on wireline/coiled tubing can be used, blocking off all but one section at a time. These completions are very common in gas wells where sand production must be controlled, or very high rates are expected - exactly as we have at Guercif.
