And so in essence, a serious collector gets access to all the documentation that the general public never sees (mainly because it’s pointless unless you’re seriously interested), potential buyers of Guercif will receive: The updated CPR, reprocessed seismic, integrated petrophysics, full basin models, proprietary reservoir maps and the upside across both fan systems and underlying plays and this is why PRD doesn’t need another well right now! The suitors see the real file, not the public brochure available in dealerships. Serious operators prefer assets before first production because they’re cheaper, they can apply their own technology, they choose the drilling fluids based on the data PRD have pulled together, they avoid repeating the formation damage mistakes and they get the full upside of the entire basin model whilst we retain 51%. Which is exactly why Paul said,“I do not need the gas to flow to get a deal done.” And this is just like the Irish deal, done purely off the inspection file, not a road test.
PRD isn’t selling a half built kit car with parts from every manufacturer, they’re selling a rare classic with a massive history folder with confirmed engine (working petroleum system), multiple inspection reports (logs, petrophysics, samples), HPI clear and straight chassis (seismic & reservoir models), proven originality and upside (the areal extent) and importantly a specialist broker, (Scorpion, Equiom etc).
The buyer doesn’t need to watch it redline down the motorway, the paperwork already proves what the engine can do and therefore, divestment is happening exactly the way a proper asset sale should.
