The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
The plan is go for shallow drills and based on the Hannam report these should be around 10-20 holes. Then go for the deep drill up to 3500m. They have not stated if its going to be 1 or 2 drill but that would be up to the negotiation I imagine.
No logical person would do a raise before the completion of the shallow drills. The possibility to have a discovery on the shallow drills is very high, even if they are 10 . This would raise the SP at a level that would be good enough to borrow money if needed as they would have commercially viable helium for extraction. Personally I am not worried about raising money.
HMS. You make me sound really smart. That was never my plan. This is just change of strategy when things don't go as planned. It might turn to my favour but we will never know until we reach "judgement" day.
HMS That answered my question thank you.
I may increase my holdings in the next few days but it will be from another share and I don't want to risk them.
I will think about it. I have this week at least maybe next till spud :-)
HMS Good post. Thank you.
By unofficial result do you mean an announcement that they hit oil?
Do we expect that during drilling or only after we reach total depth?
HMS does not seem to be a deramper / ramper. He is just frustrated with the situation, like some/all of us. Where we disagree is where the responsibilities lay. We think its not ADV, he things ADV should push more answers. (Correct me if I am wrong)
Thats all.
HMS I feel your pain. Even though I dont have a network (opened my first account last year) I have forwarded information about another share to friends and tanked massively (hopefully and logically temporarily).
My average is around 4.2 so a bit at a loss and even more tomorrow so I am as frustrated as you. But when it comes to blame I like to attribute it to the person responsible and not the first person I find in front of me.
Lets hope we all get positive in the end including your network (fingers crossed)
HMS how many times have you done " the usual blah blah blah" to your wife about the bathroom refurbishment that took two weeks longer to complete?? or you are going to tell us it was the tradesman fault?
Get the point now? :-)
HMS this has nothing to do with the Carnavons or Advance management. The timescales are coming from the management of the rig. If there are no problems then the only logical conclusion is that the rig management feels pressure and reports unrealistic scales.
Does anybody else think that if the delays are only attributed to the reasons mentioned, that the management on Valaris rig is incompetent? I bet every engineer on the rig screams that the timelines are impossible and the rig management is covering their ears and promising deadlines that are unrealistic because of pressure.
I still hold and probably increase if the SP drops more but I have a time limit on this investment and I may not be able to keep it until the results if delays keep happening.
These are conferences and they are behind closed doors. They do not give out any presentations or information unless you talk to someone that was there.
Also officially DM cannot give any more significant information unless it is RNSed first.
The sort answer is No...... unless we have an insider?
Latorre you are right.
To add to your comment anyone interested in Helium and want to go under the radar will be there as attendees.
I remember when I was speaking to two individuals without a namecard and in the end of the discussion they gave me their contacts and they were from Lamborghini. Back then Lamborghini didnt want to make a noise that they were interested in electrification.
The massive advantage of these conferences is that you get the chance to speak directly to the top people. Also it is behind closed doors and a lot of things can be said that you would not normally say anywhere else. You can get a lot of information on customer demands and upcoming projects that are not in the public domain yet.
Speakers and sponsors can be guided to talk to specific individuals.
They are very useful and I am glad DM is there. I don't think it will affect the SP now but it will help the company long term
I have been to similar conferences but related to batteries. (This is only to say that I speak from experience and not assuming)
Something to pass time while we wait for the ERT announcement.
The basics of ERT
https://www.terradat.co.uk/survey-methods/resistivity-tomography/
Looking forward to the ERTs too. I believe they are more important than most people think.
We will have 10 to 20 drills. If one or two are successful they will raise the SP to a secure level. Hopefully above eveyrones' average.
Then we can ride the deep drill without any worry of a loss. Good times :)
Princess,
I think they are not doing it now because they don't have a drill. (BTW I offered them my 46V cordless drill but it wont do the job apparently!! Pff)
They are getting the small rig but before starting to drill they need to do the ERT otherwise they will be drilling blind. So if you try to put everything together hire/availability/delivery of the right rig and basic mapping of the shallows, you get to the timeline we are now.
What I want to hear now is the start of the ERTs.
I don think LP can give a date tonight if it is not on an RNS first. Without an RNS no major news could come out of the presentation.
As ST said it will be very good exposure.
Lets hope but doubt it now. I personally would expect it in the morning unless they are planning to add something the last minute. I would give it up to 1pm max. Its already 8pm in Australia.
No RNS means no major news on the presentation. That's all. Its not the end of the world.
There is a presentation tomorrow and nothing significantly new can be said unless there is an RNS. Being so close to spud I cannot believe that we will not have any new information. So the possibility of an RNS tomorrow is very high.
The share price before any shallow drill results would be low. Let's say 10p. The share price after the completion of shallow drilling would probably be 50p or above as it has high chances of identifying a trap. It makes sense to do it after the shallow drills where it will be 5 times cheaper. (Numbers are just examples)
If after the shallow drill you have a discovery why would you dilute the shares if you can just borrow money? (Again this is stated by DM)
If you have a shallow discovery you would probably wait for the big drill results too.
So placing seems highly unlikely but a lot is dependent on results. So we wait for results and based on that we act accordingly.
My main critique was on the word "Placing" not on the fact that we would need more money down the line.
