My guess is we get a trading update on Thursday. Flybe usually did these but skipped it last year, probably as this was over the period of Saad's exit. Just a guess.....

Well Bunzl trades on 1x sales vs Brammer on 0.2x. This is a cheap way for Bunzl to rapidly and cheaply boost sales (they are very active on m&a) and they would enjoy large synergies relative to Advent. Holding tight.....

I feel robbed: was looking for 300p+ over 2-3 years. Maybe Bunzl will step in. The two CEOs know each other well....

Debt is very high hence why CEO has gone and new capital needed. And new CEO has clearly not liked what the recently departed head of U.K. was doing. I see that as progress. New guy was a NED at bunzl.

Cheap stock: been around decades but last CEO pursued growth by acquisitions for almost two of them. Time for new guy who ran PE owned business before to restore core profitability. Doubt he will sell to bunzl at this level. Maybe at 500p! He knows bunzl well as a former director. I expect we will see what we have witnessesed at Electrocomponents in a recent months....

And statement will be mid November: cannot find a more specific date for now...

My take is the bad news - poor trading and rts issue - are already well priced in: we all know it's coming! Thus I would not sell now. My feeling is far more upside than downside especially with a new boss. Does that help?

Thx to both of you for posting. I guess when a new boss arrives it unsettles everybody - it's happened to me! Sorry to hear one of you has sold - but hopefully you have found a better home for your cash. Or maybe come back in at the rights issue - that's what I will be doing. Not long till November statement and more importantly the new PLAN! I think Oldersma will paint a very ugly picture so it's all upside thereafter. Q for anyone: why have sales deteriorated so much this year? Is it Brexit or something more structural within Brammer?

Worth noting the MD for the U.K. and board member who was brought in from Wolsley in only March 2016 has left. The statement is very terse implying a bust up, most likely with the new CEO. On balance I'd say this is a positive sign as it shows Oldersma isn't shy of shaking things up. But you could easily read the other way!? Any internal perspective appreciated!

1 that date is normally announced with - and depends on - full rights issue details. 2 Price also unknown until launch date 3 Ratio also announced then but unlikely to be 1:1 So you need to wait for Q1 17 most likely. If you own shares now you will definitely be eligible for rights.

Thx, very happy to get grass roots view. Sounds like morale is quite high. Short term risk is the new CEO launches a capital increase but this business has been around for decades and seems to have been hit by pre and post Brexit turbulence. I have bought but will likely buy more once the CEO announces his review. I am longing to know his incentive scheme: My guess he didn't come from semi-retirement for a paycheck and company limo......

Hi Froggywood: your friend should ignore BMMEF: it's is an ADR, set up to encourage US investors to buy Brammer but on their own exchange. Trouble is there's no liquidity and thus trades only by appointment. Maybe once per month. He should focus on BMM. Interesting that your friend is watching the shares: what does he feel about what happening? Is he sad or excited about the old CEO leaving after 18 years? Is he excited or scared by a new CEO? Any feedback appreciated!?
