The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
The fundamentals have not changed here; all that's changed is people's mindset which is being swayed by too much conspiracy theory, guesswork, subtle deramping by some and basically the whole negative feeling and lack of sentiment of board members since the SP drop from the heady heights of 37p.
People need to focus on all official information and the reasons they are invested in GGP - at the present time then it's a company with a share in a Tier 1 mine, other projects which will be worked on this year and a great future. If any of that changes in the future then anything said on here will not affect that outcome.
I think we are just in the general cycle of market events, newsflow, PoG, etc. Generally I do not state anything about my other investments but the following is what has happened to the following within past 6-7 months:-
EUA - went to a closing high of 42.5p - dropped as low as 18p and now at 28p
OMI - went to a closing high of 39p - dropped as low as 17.2p and now 18.5p
SOLG - went to a closing high of 42p - dropped as low as 20.5p and now 21.50p (I have not owned any since January)
Some on here might say that the above shares are not the same as GGP but they are junior miners/explorers and taking EUA as an exception because it is knowingly up for sale then they have good prospects for potential future growth; but their current SP's are much the same as any other share price and GGP - simply controlled by market forces, and if this includes takeover speculation, manipulation, accumulation, buying and selling by II's or PI's then that just the way it is - there are no conspiracies.
Stay Safe, Stay Confident, Stay Invested.
(Please note that the mention of other shares is not a ramp but simply used in context of the post)
Tex - Yes, the board needs the likes of Paddy, Bamps, Magic, etc to keep posting. There are many technically limited posters on here, and I include myself in that; but I do generally try to provide some info occasionally and give balanced opinions and views in threads.
The problem is that the technical, informative posters are being driven away, and although people can blame the quality of conversation on the board - generally attributed to the more recent posters - then actually a lot of the problem is just the general frustration of where the SP is a the present time and much of that has shown in aggressive/negative posts from some of the LTH's themselves. They moan about the quality of the posts on the board but then get drawn into pointless arguments or discussions, which in itself lowers the quality of posting on the board and drives people away.
It's a clear aspect of the board that the more successful it was last year in drawing in new investors/posters then it also meant many of the LTH's became exalted posters - whether they like it or not (and they know their status) then many people follow(ed) this board looking for the 'words of the wise' allowing the group thinking on the board to be super positive and to keep the confidence flowing; now the SP has tanked heavily then some of the 'words from the wise' has been incessant whining about the board quality or criticism of others - so unfortunately we now see the current status of the board slowly diminishing into division and childish bickering - mostly by some LTH's, which is just providing an overall negative feeling for many readers and therefore they are just switching off.
TomE & VS - I always have said the best approach is don't engage them but some are difficult to resist. Anyway, I was just a bit fed up seeing the same agenda and the same posters biting; I did try reporting him earlier this morning but nothing came of it, so decided to put out one of my 'war and peace' length posts to bore everyone and try to kill the conversation, lol.
Jvetch - the board is not just about 'one view', it's about people invested here to try and make money to actually makes themselves happy - either by making life better for their families and themselves, maybe extending their wealth to friends or they might be completely single minded and just want to accumulate wealth to spoil themselves with flashy cars, etc. They all have their reasons.
Of course there are positives and negatives in investing in any shares but 'negative' narrative thinking is the disappointment people want to avoid talking about but they do know that it comes with the risk of investing in shares so they really only want to see and hear the positives and of course they want the SP to do well. Obviously seeing an investment in the red doesn't make investors feel great - but if they are in it for the long haul and they are confident in their investment, then they can live through the negative emotional impact period until the SP rises and they start seeing a profit - but some could struggle with it.
What people don't like is influencers like you who try and come across all interested and friendly and want to have a balanced debate but with the subtle negativity. If you are not invested then why bother posting on the board. That's like me not being invested in another company e.g. Avacta and going onto that board and start trying to pick holes in their fundamentals, RNS's, etc and just being negative - for what purpose does it serve me or the members on that bb. If I want to invest in Avacta then I would do the research and make a decision to invest or not; as a courtesy I wouldn't be on that board trying sow negative thinking into the shareholders.
Another thing is; that unfortunately there are quite a few members on this board that are sitting in the red (I'm not talking about the LTHs with paper losses but still showing profit) I'm talking about those investing in the high 20's and 30's the past few months. So when they are reading posts on this board then they want to see some positivity and of course look for some information from the Technical posters, like Paddy, Bamps, Hydro, etc to help boost confidence on the board. They certainly don't need to be reading purposeful negative posts from people who are not even invested.
In the modern day with Covid, lockdowns, mental health problems at the forefront of news, etc then it's positive thinking and discussion that brings happiness - but of course it's obvious you don't respect that because you do know there are people here sitting on a temporary loss but you still carry on with your 'negative debate' agenda to try and sow doubt and spread fear.
If you're not invested then please respect those who are invested here and stop your obvious negative agenda.
Everyone - Apologies for long post but fed up reading the same old carp for past few days.
TfG - lol, with Silverhorse posts then you get what you see - simple and straightforward; sometimes he comes across negative and sometimes positive but never any real consistency. It's the other types influencers that board members have to be aware of.
I do like to try and see balance but I'm probably one of those people who is too biased for the good of the share; I always think it's strange why someone who is not invested in a share comes onto the board with some opinion but also subtle negative comments. I'd get it if they came on asking some questions and looking for direction to informational sources because they are thinking of investing, but if they are pushing a negative spin then they have an agenda.
If I was looking to invest in another share and trawled some other boards for pointers then if I thought the share had no value to me or thought it might go down in price with recent info, longer term outlook or lack of sentiment then I would just kindly leave, say nothing and not invest - in my opinion then that's just courtesy to the other members who are on that board.
Silverhorse - forgot to mention; you could also read the Jvetch subtle posts aimed at putting fear into the weak holders so they sell up in large numbers which maybe brings the SP down; so they can then buy in at the lower price. But don't be fooled by him, it's best holding onto your shares in the long term for better rewards.
Silverhorse - "What's the plan here?" - why are you asking the board ?
You have several options:-

Further targets outside of Havieron, but within the Havieron Joint Venture area, have been identified with the potential to conduct drilling to test these targets in the future. More positive news for future 2 year price target 90p - I will be holding long building up a massive holding.
OR
Hold long for £3

Try to be consistent with your posting !!
Mush - nothing matter with a cheap bottle or carton of plonk. When I had a place in a mountain village in spaing then I would regularly pick up the odd litre of cheap red for a few cents either side of a euro or less that 1.50. Not really elegant to drink on it's own but mixed with some lemonade/7up and some chopped fruit with a handful of ice then it was pleasant enough to guzzle a few whilst sitting out on the terrace in the late afternoon before dinner or in the late evening when the kids were in bed.
Strummer - good post and agree with much you say. Like everyone else then I also appreciate the super technical posters and actually quite thankful to them to help push me in the right direction.
I am technically an LTH myself, with shares in a trading account, since 2018, with a low average and in my ISA with medium average but I'm also an STH in my SIPP where I had several pension amounts come in over the last 4 months of 2020 and first few weeks of January this year, so my average in there is above 20 but I am invested in other shares also, so got some balance. I do regard myself as fortunate to have a reasonable sum of money to invest but not everyone is in the same boat, so I really do appreciate that there are many newer or smaller investors who are sitting at a paper loss or negligible gain.
I admit I get a bit defensive on the board so was trying to point out the derampers as I seen it and took the time to post some of their history to try and indicate this. I state my main reason for being defensive is that I do feel a bit of guilt because I know there are probably quite a lot of the newer or smaller investors who were taken in by the super ramping over scally and the very positive posts from many LTH's on here and I actually joined the bandwagon (explains the guilt) - of course we have the caveats "DYOR" and "never invest on information on a BB", but people do, and I've even read some comments from LTH's that they invested through information on this board.
Anyway, in an attempt to call out a deramper this week then unfortunately I called it wrong, but explained my thinking, apologised and it was accepted by the poster. There was a later thread that pointed out the error of judgement and maybe quite rightly it commented about the 'rottweilers' on the board; so I respect the criticism and have tried to take a more muted view the past few days; but I did get annoyed at one specific poster on that thread because they have been quite directly critical of others and myself the past few weeks and were at it again this evening.
I am not defending anyone calling people names or suggesting they need help (there should be no need for that type of posting) but it would be a good idea if the poster in question - I'm sure he knows who I mean - should maybe reign it in a bit and stop trying to point out fault or call out other LTH's with the some sort of self given authority because they are an LTH themselves.
It certainly doesn't help the stimulus on the board when LTH's are haranguing each other and I would say I'm surprised by some of the reactions this evening, but actually I'm not surprised.
Sorry, I thought this thread was about the GGPSP .... - Oh my, shocked to see posters who complained about 'car threads' in the past are actually commenting on cars, good to see to see people joining in and not moaning.

Before anyone starts shouting, Please note that this is not a ramp for these two companies but just provision of information on how the other players in the area are doing and working within the overall theory of district/province scale mineral discoveries within the region - even though there might be significant distances between the areas.
Also there are a few readers who like to look through the results from others to further their knowledge on general mining/geo information and see these types of presentations and the way data is presented (especially when it's in same region).
