Jambone you need to seek some sort of therapy, all I did was answer Magnum.PI's post. I didn't make anything up and even posted a link to the Filing History page on Companies house, so what's your problem?

To be honest I don't know, the RNS shows the full 1.335 Billion shares are held in a financial instrument, but it doesn't state the nature of the instrument. The article, referred to previously, mentioned Non Recourse Financing without disclosing the nature of the financing.

They have to be, with some added losses since the name change.

As far as I can find, there aren't any open short positions in Vodafone.

No it isn't, it looks as though Liberty Global has injected £225 million capital with the rest of the money being supplied by undisclosed venture capital in the form of Non Recourse Financing.

No regulatory approvals are required for an investment at this level and Liberty Global does not intend to seek board representation at Vodafone.

I can't see the article, as it's behind the paywall, but the odds of OFCOM allowing a merger between Vodafone and 3 are very very low, in my opinion. If OFCOM did allow the merger, it would reduce the number of mobile providers from four down to three, and may even result in competitors taking OFCOM to court. The merger between VM/O2, and the merger between BT/EE, were fixed line merging with mobile, whereas a VOD/3 merger would be different.
I'm invested in Vodafone, so anything that improves the share price is good as far as I'm concerned, but I don't see a VOD/3 merger being waved through. Flexing my speculative braincell, I still think something bigger is in the pipeline, maybe VOD merging with one of the big US telecom companies, with Malone being tipped off.

Nobody cares about Brexit, it's done. None of the political parties are interested in holding another referendum, so the media should leave it alone and concentrate on other things. It really is pointless to bang on about something in the past, especially since we're unlikely to rejoin in our lifetimes. The people who can't let Brexit go, should book an appointment with a therapist since they're obviously obsessed.

Chid, back in 2017 Lloyds share price was in the range 65p to 71p, with revenue at approximately £17.74 Billion and Net income of around £3.56 Billion; In 2021 the revenue was down slightly on 2017 at £17.13 Billion, but Net income was up at £5.78 Billion. In the end it's the bottom line that counts and with the NIM increasing dramatically over the last year, Lloyds will see profits rise. There'll be a provision in case of loan defaults, but that isn't the same as losing money, as things are never as bad as as anticipated and unused provisions usually feed back into profits down the road.
In summary Lloyds is clearly undervalued by any measure, so it's an easy investment choice for dividend seeking value investors.

Expect a bump up in the Lloyds share price on Friday, when NatWest reports; It stands to reason that any boost in NatWest's NIM, due to higher interest rates, will shine through and affect the Lloyds share price.

Why the 24th Feb? The dividend will be declared in Q4/FY results on the 22nd Feb, unless they're doing things differently this time.

I'm not complaining, I did my dividend top up at less than 133p around 45 minutes ago.
As far as this news, i'm surprised it has any effect on the stock price at all; It wont affect the April price increases, and it'll only be in respect of mid contract increases, I see it as no news personally.

Those two entries are separated by quite a few trades and individually add to the cumulative totals. If this was fat finger trade/s, someone's going to be a bit upset. I can't imagine someone actually bought at 843p, probably a mistake; If there was a short squeeze it may be possible, but not in normal trading.

There's an Off Book trade, showing as going through at 09:55, for 1.09 million shares at 843p. It's probably an incorrect submission, maybe a mistake with the ticker when submitted.
