We're currently awaiting confirmation from the FCA. The Sandbox Review Panel Stage is the third stage of the FCA Regulatory Sandbox process. During this stage, a panel of senior decision-makers at the FCA will assess the applicant's proposal to determine whether it meets the eligibility criteria for the Sandbox.

The panel will consider the following factors when making its decision:

✔️The potential benefits to consumers of the proposal.

✔️The risks associated with the proposal.

✔️The applicant's ability to manage the risks associated with the proposal.

The FCA Sandbox Review Panel Stage is a critical milestone in the Sandbox process. If the applicant's proposal is successful, it will be invited to enter the Sandbox and begin testing its product or service in a controlled environment.

The Company has received the proposed Sandbox testing plan from the FCA and it continues to assist the FCA with their review of the Sandbox Application alongside advancing its other GS Money plans.

Here are some of the key provisions of the FSMB related to stablecoins:

✅Stablecoins would be defined as "digital settlement assets" (DSAs) that are "pegged to a fiat currency or a basket of fiat currencies."

✅The FCA would be given the power to regulate DSAs and set rules for their issuance, use, and custody.

✅DSA issuers would be required to hold sufficient reserves to back their stablecoins.

✅DSAs would be subject to the same anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) requirements as other financial products.

The FSMB is a significant piece of legislation that could have a major impact on the crypto industry in the UK.

It is clear that the UK is taking a serious approach to regulating stablecoins.
