Kevin I will only add that all those years ago people baulked at the valuation of Tesla at 1.6 billion or Meta at over 100 billion at their IPOs . Look at those valuations now . Same with Amazon or NVIDIA .

If time is on your hands , I know you are young enough you should really do well in years to come .

I regret not buying Meta at 38 at IPO . There are lots of doom mongers who keep predicting crash at every opportunity and indeed it will come one day but You take your risks still . We are not talking about a dodgy AIM company.

I followed your advice this morning at MPAL , bought a bit later in the spike at .90 and sold at 1.20 . Didn’t want to be too greedy lol.

The US markets are an all time high . They will correct eventually. The doomsayers have been predicting crash since many years . Even a broken clock is right twice a day . What I am saying is no one knows for sure .

I give you an example . Few years ago when Tesla stock was crashing when Musk was involved in bitter Twitter takeover, the clever people on the other boards were predicting its bankruptcy/ crashing to an all time low . I nevertheless bought it at 108 dollar and 2 years later sold it over 300 from memory. So no one knows anything for sure and good I made my decision.

If Trump was that caring / worried about markets as is the rhetoric, why would he be starting conflict with Iran when everyone knows wars drag markets .

May be even for him somethings are more important than money lol .

I agree to disagree on you here Dai . You mentioned a few weeks ago before the war that Trump said he will come to the aid of people protesting but he didn’t and I said it’s not like Venezuela in their corner . They have to bring a lot of force to that part of the world first . And that’s what happened, when they thought they have enough ammo to attack Iran , they did .

Don’t be fixated on Iranian / Democratic propaganda that negotiations were taking place . Since as long as you snd I remember, negotiations with Iran over Nuclear Weapons have gone nowhere. They are fixated on getting them at all cost . You cant change their ideology ( Regime ) .

Dai on the BBC today the last quarter of last year had ZERO growth, January had zero growth , highest level of unemployment since pandemic, highest youth unemployment since decades and that was all before the war started in End of February.

God only knows what is happening now when we eventually get the figures.

The government can’t blame Trump/ war for that dismal economic performance . When you tax the businesses to hell , keep putting up minimum wages and National Insurance, there is only so much they can take before folding .

Well Starmer has just set out to forge closer ties with EU and Europe over America . He has made his choice , right or wrong time will tell .
