From the looks of it, 0.8 is a hard support. Amazing really, would require 6 or 7 decent sized sells to budge down the bid. Suspicion is to suggest that enough people are holding long to prevent usbreturning to sub 0.75. Of course someone may get bored and shed a few mil too, who knows!
You going to join the sula party?
For what it is worth, I never post here but have been in since last August.
Good luck in both mate :) On paper ctp are a far better proposition than vmp, I just cant bring myself to trust the board, otherwise I would be in both too!
Completely share the sentiment, PPI and Retail banking has crushed them in last 5 or 6 years. Seems to be a new mood for 'challenger' banks and reform at the moment though. Virgin/Tesco and now TSB, while changes to regulation will mean banks like Barclays can't generate large profits from borrowing money over to retail services. I am seriously considering it purely as a long term play, in case this is the beginning of banking becoming interesting again. If nothing else, the float doesn't seem like it can lose money, considering how much Lloyds are giving it from the start!
Nice to see another rise. On a seperate note, is anyone else taking part in the tsb.float?
Anything below .82 are sells.
If we see it repeat tomorrow perhaps we can surmise that something is up.
Just waiting :)
Volume in line with normal trading, slight tick up because of recent selling. So in short, no, nothing os happening! Every heard of the zebra theory in medicine? Sometimes they are just horses...
You must be kidding :p Tree shake to our omg-wtf-super-rockhard share price for the last month and our 3month moving average? Darn those MMs are their cunning accurate prices!
Given that our moving average is pretty hard at .75 for a while now, I will be very surprised if a placement is cheaper than .65. Purely my opinion, but .65 would still be a 12.5% discount, which is attractive enough.
That should say SULA
I had about half a year of dividends to invest, and I also decided (after a long time) to ditch my entire holding in Asian Citrus. I have a very boring investing history :p this year is the first time I have attempted speculative investing. Small profit from coms and frx, burned elsewhere. Now.settled on here and SUalA, both of which have a 12 to 18 month fuse on them :)
Truth is that it was mostly timing that made it so big. Had money from elsewhere and so I overloaded. I am lucky to even sell those 4mil at a tiny profit! Makes reorganising much more easy. I have a fairly diverse set of holdings, taking myself down to 6mil here reduces my speculative investments to about 10%.
Am holding 6mil now.
But not all buys. I have opted to reduce by 3.5mil shares. Looked at portfolio cold headedly over the weekend. When 8% of the portfolio is in something as speculative as this, something is wrong! So 3mil shares at .765 are in fact sells.
You became a cliche! Never thought it of you! People currently invested here know everything you said and no one pretends it is anything other than a punt.
Those 2mil earlier that you guys thought were buys were actually my sells :( Couldnt resist trading in and out of rose today. Made a few grand in there, have bought the 2mil back here and tucked the change away elsewhere :)
Nono, I am sorry that I posted before you!
