I think Gazprom and Lukoil will be long terms at those prices -gas and oil aren't worthless -but I've not got the hedge fund resources or mentality to buy .
NAV 198.9 per RNS so discount is about 25%.
I assume some wwill buying for the long term -if I had the bottle and the funds I might do the same . Those energy companies do have real value.
Down to about 285p. The NAV per RNS at 25.02.22 was 479.8.
There must be a point where this becomes a buy . Nathan Rothschild said "Buy on the sound of cannons and sell on the trumpets". My 200 shares cost about £800 and are now worth about £575 -that's working out well !
Will look to the next NAV - I do think there will be money to be made on this but time it wrong and you could lose a packet.
I bought £200 on Friday morning at about 400 and congratulated myself as to how clever I was ...
How far has this falling knife to go ?51% is invested in energy shares and they still have value -not so sure about the financials,
Where's the bottom?
I cut my losses back in June . Normally to my horror when I sell a share and look at the price 3 months later , it is at least 20% up slightly mitigated by in some cases whatever I've reinvested in has also gone up. I'm looking at you Forterra in particular .
Not this share. Just what is the issue with this one?
Nice worl if you can get it. Placed at 310p when retail price was 325p. Not for us oiks though .
I don't get this one either. Watched the price rise and rise from the March 20 lows when the pubs were closed or could only trade under heavy restrictions. Now that the English pubs are about to freely trade, the share price is falling.
I'm out next week . Etotheipi -the research link isn't working. I think I'll put the proceeds into IHR Impact Healthcare Reit . 5.8% yield, not geared.
Biden announced huge infrastructure spending but no effect on share price . Can't decide whether to cut losses or give it another month .
Ooop North , it's tipping it down. Can't see that any outdoor area would have had punters in today so takings would be zero but wiht still the overheads . Can't see profits until the indoors are open and even then the pubs need to be packed not "Covid full".
If only outdoor opening is permitted then revenue may be less than outgoings. On a wet and or windy day , revenue will be near zero and there isn't much warmth in the evenings. Thinking of the Spoons near where I am , not all have outdoor areas and of those that do, some are very small. I think some former customers will think that it is far too dangerous to go out and some will think there is little pleasure to be had . Can't see profits beings made until all restrictions including masks go -is there anyone who thinks that the wearing of masks to enter and exit has any science behind it?
Thought I couldn't go wrong buying in the IPO. Wrong again . I know you buy for the long term but almost 10% down. Wish I'd sold at 110p.
I call normality the position we were in before March 20th 2020 ie sit where no like, no perspex, no number limits , no face nappies. Until that happens I don't see profitably returning to what it was. I sold some shares at 875 and thought I'd done well to get something. Got that one wrong!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9131047/May-day-pubs-No10-examining-plans-bars-closed-FIVE-MONTHS.html which is later than might have been thought but no doubt the share price will go up again!
Telegraph reporting that the cash raise is to enable it to survive. Is it really worth circa £2.20 at the moment?
I'm clearly not cut out to be an analyst as the share price is up again despite no revenue until maybe March
I don't get it -more tier 4, new variants being discovered but the price goes up. I've no money invested upwards or downwards but i'm just baffled.
There must be a reason for the share price rising or the city brains/bots would be selling it. But what is that reason?
474 is back to pre Covid prices. Rail travel low and other sales outlets available. What is going on please?
This is a share I cannot fathom. Welsh pubs not allowed to sell alcohol and must close at 18.00 hrs. English pubs in tier 3 shut and restricted in tier 2 (Spoons don't do Scotch eggs) and normality getting pushed back. So why the rise today?
