Some very interesting notes in there.
I’ve was reading that VAST (ACR as was) were only mining in Zim for c6mths before operations were halted,
Does that mean they pulled the c$18mln (2010 valuation) of rough diamonds out in this time, there must have been more, sold to fund operations, work in progress kept elsewhere etc etc
I’m a bit busy atm but will try to look through old RNS’s later
Unless anyone already has this info floating around in their heads ?

Have you ever spoken to AP Passiton ? I have a while ago and found him totally obsessed with diamonds.
I think he is going to transform things here through this obsession rather than through his business plans.
I always say focus on the job and the money will come, focus on the money and you’ll feck the job up.

Mines Minister Obert Mpofu has gone on the offensive in the midst of a probe into the country's diamond crisis, saying the UK firm with the legal title to mine the controversial Chiadzwa claim is to blame for the same crisis.
Mpofu was speaking to reporters at parliament on Wednesday, just before appearing before a parliamentary committee investigating operations in Chiadzwa. He declared that the London-based mining firm African Consolidated Resources (ACR) 'controlled by one white man', will never mine diamonds at Chiadzwa as long as he is in charge of the ministry. Mpofu said ACR head, Andrew Cranswick should be 'punished' because his company foiled Mpofu's attempts sell the diamonds at a recent auction

Thanks for this bud,
You read this article from a while back ?
The rights granted to (ZMDC) by virtue of the special grant shall not apply in respect of the ACR Claims Area and (ZMDC must) cease its prospecting and diamonds mining activities in the ACR Claims Area."
According to The Standard, Hungwe also ordered the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ) to return to ACR all diamonds seized from the company and all precious stones it bought from ZMDC that were mined on the ACR claims.
Alternatively, MMCZ can account for the proceeds of any such diamonds which it has sold, Hungwe said. About 40 foreign companies are estimated to have been buying diamonds at Marange daily before the military moved in. It is estimated that ACR was being prejudiced about US$6 billion in the past three years, the report said.
