Reason why it could be a placing is because of the trade patterns and the sudden slump in sp.
In the space of 5mins near the end of trading 500k vol of shares were sold. 300, 200, 200. It just seems fishy. MMs are dumping shares because they are aware of inside information that occurred post-afternoon rather than morning. They obviously know something we don't. I could be wrong. But I kind of hope not. Ironically I'd rather the sp fall due to incoming placing NOW than for no news just for it to fall further, when down the line actual placing comes along, just for it to fall further again!! I was seriously contemplating selling my shares...after 4+ years of being in the red. But it wasn't even worth doing that.. Not because I don't want MMs to have them....

Your not wrong, mate. Totally agree with you. We do need an update. Not via next Trading Update. Update now.
SP isn't just about profits it's also about sentiment.

LSAI have notified when there were new contracts.
30th April 19 - Partnership with Sito Mobile, and launch of Verify platform
1st May 19 - Partnership with the7stars
15th May 19 - Partnership with JCDecaux
5th Sep 19 - Partnership with Bliss
16th Sep 19 - Contract with Vicinity Media

The issue is there are no figures presented so how do we know how much these contracts are actually worth? This is why the market has not reacted in the progressive way the company has transformed. The contracts probably don't allow LSAI to disclose? I don't know how these work, other experienced investors can tell me.
And until there is evidence of a glimmer of profit on the horizon will the sp recover.

To be fair, LSAI have been playing by the book. Unlike those other dodgy aim company that rise 100% with no prospects of success. It's AIM as you say unfortunately.

Just read this back to myself. It wasn't meant to intend you to contact Slade again for an update or why shares are down. Despite the situation it is quite unprofessional to harass a CEO in this manner. Do that at your own will. I believe the earliest update we will get is Feb. Along with placing. (if that doesn't happen first)

A while back someone said they contacted the company for an update and said they received a reply from Mr Slade himself. So..contact him again then. Ask him, is he aware of the sp plunge? Does he actually value you as an investor. They don't seem they do. As they just keep raising placings as their sources of income.

Honestly, because I don't believe there is credible basis for the amount of shorts against the company.
Not an exhasutive list but, the company has been shorted previously and went long.
Some people have been comparing Cine to Netflix, but that is like comparing apples to pears.
Some have mentioned the debt Cine has accumulated - although rightly so, this was due to Regal acquisition but it is decreasing. Netflix also has an extortionate amount of debt.
Cine is investing and expanding in the US where cinema admission is strong.
I believe the BOD are aware of the circumstances and know what they are doing.

Your welcome and ty too. Not an unwise move but hopefully we'll see you back here. I'm still in and will stay in. I'm confident the BOD know what they are doing. Despite what you say however, I'm looking forward to a few films next year whether for me or taking the cousins, including 007, King's Man, Dune, Top Gun sequal, Mulan, Witches remake..it's not that bad but hey, we'll see I suppose and that is the risk I'm willing to take.

You're right on the debt aspect investors here are well aware of since the Regal acquisition but it has reduced to be fair. Indeed Regal acquisition was expensive but cineworld have turned over more than expected from them. In terms of Netflix they are not without their own problems global subscription targets have not been met yet again, and just one compromise to their customer database is a concern, albeit small.
The problem here is the short term slate of movies in 2020 which is not great. Seems like the industry needs another Harvey Weinstein - just not a pig.

It's the 'Paris' cinema in New York City. But yea. Interesting to see how to view this. Are Netflix turning into a cinema chain? No, but their business plan is changing which defeats their usp in the first place, if that makes sense.

Especially if trading update on 5 Dec reveals strong performance. Looking good.
