Signatures for a government response ItsaNightmare. Think they have done the truth distortion one to death since Brex****.
If there is anything concrete in that SProphets story then AIM may have seen the back of BMR but at a cost again to those that trade on the market. We need governance with teeth and criminal charges brought against those that flout rules. W H Ireland should have been prosecuted for their roll in Coppergate. MA and his cronies, prosecuted, not allowed to hide behind his sudden loss of marbles. They can cheat and lie at will, kind of reflects the institutions such as government where it now appears that that is a prerequisite for office in some quarters. We think we are better out of Europe? Sounds like the lot we have see merit in allowing governance that basically does the opposite of what it says. Truth, honesty and integrity a forgotten art. I’m fuming it you hadn’t noticed. Thanks to those at BMR watch, we need all the support you can muster.
Surely we deserve the courtesy of a fuller update? Even JLP’s few words sound as they are none the wiser and they have slipped another month into their timetable. What happens to all the dump material now? If I’m not mistaken that is owned by another BMR subsidiary, which hasn’t been mentioned in the negotiations, Enviro Mining, I’m not sure what it’s relation to Enviro Properties and Enviro Processing is.
I believe it can be resurrected and I can still pop in to the site.
It certainly seems that a sense of paranoia has infiltrated the BB. Like others I have far too much in this to lose and certainly don't intend throwing in the towel. Most, I believe can be taken at face value and are only here to discuss our dire situation. I to have spoken to AB and have had similar conversations. Whether or not that is scripted for our ears I do believe he is working to resolve this mess. How we got here is anyone's guess but the management are accountable and responsible and should be working tirelessly to rectify the situation. Bickering between us will not resolve anything. We will soon know what fate befalls us and what action we then need to take.
The small scale license is the one which is under threat. Do we not have to be producing by end of year? That doesnt appear to be a big ask if the will is there. We still have the large scale license and own all the dump material.
I think not VIGENERE, as the V resource is 67,377 tonnes. The grades for the different stockpiles varying at 1.11-1.87%, recovery at 65%, discounted by 5% from laboratory trials giving a saleable 45,000 tonnes. There is also the matter of resource in the Pyrite, Mixed Leach Plant and that Wicked Pile of WKS, another 1.7 million tons which at 0.75% would equate to 13,000 tonnes or 8,300 tonnes of saleable V or just another $345 million. Then the old mine and areas around Kabwe that might enjoy low grade V in amongst the Zinc and Lead resource that is being looked at. It is in excess of a $2 Billion resource for V alone. Why shouldn't one be excited by the overground resource that lies around Kabwe.
From an old RNS: Vanadium Recovery Factors and Upgrading to Vanadium Pentoxide
The Board is pleased to report that the metallurgical test work to date has shown that no modifications should be required to the acid brine leach section at the Kabwe plant to recover the V from tailings and take it into solution as a by-product. Selective recovery of the V in solution has been successfully achieved during the Zinc re-leach phase, requiring only minimal changes to the current flowsheet design.
Preliminary test work results suggest an overall V(2) O(5) recovery factor of approximately 65% (discounted 5% from actual test work results). Test work continues to optimise the V(2) O(5) recovery factor, to establish final product quality and the design of the process circuit to produce V(2) O(5.) This will enable CAPEX and OPEX costs to be established, of which the former will be at an additional construction cost to the Company. An announcement will be made as soon as practicable concerning this additional cost, although at this stage the Company does not believe that it will be substantial. New technology will not be required for the production of V(2) O(5) .
3 weeks to find the way out. Will Bozzer sell the remaining JLP holding available on the 19th July(TODAY), giving 20 days notice but not having told us, that's 14.92 million shares, approximately £313,000 at 2.1p. That will keep us going until we can finalise the JV, and pay the Blue Square Ransom money. We may even see the 3 figure settlement agreed by the vultures from MA days and the ACI Blood money. Might give us a half a million pot to hold on. Get a Nomad on board, JV agreed, the Three Musketeers step in and save the JV day and thwart the dark forces circling in Zambia. Then its onwards and upwards. Easy when a plan comes together. The only external market factors hindering our progess is the fall in Base Metals, some 25% and Platinum Group down 20% and all falling. The bright spark being V, which as Jeremy once says just falls out and is relatively simple to recover.
So what's to worry about???
$41,667 tonne, all other base metals taking a thumping again today for some reason.
I think they are looking at Lead purity on a cost to revenue projection, i.e. how much refining cost gives what purity and resultant revenue. At least it sounds like they can produced independently, but would have though that may involve additional handling, we shall see. I noted the additional wriggle room, 3rd Quarter, now we know Bozzer is back in control lol.
It just falls out as we process, the words of Jeremy. Bring, that’s 45,000 tonnes of yeilded V and let’s hope our partners at JLP can recover more than the 60-65% that we were going for. Those were the days when V was less than half current value. It’s more than made up for the drop in Zinc and Lead, which will recover.
Over $40,000 a tonne
Pulling your plonker I believe, such naivety.
It is still beyond comprehension that AB has managed us into this mess. A favourable outcome resting upon an engineered coming together of several interconnected events. Stranger things have occurred. The vaccine has little time to achieve it’s results. Let’s hope it’s being administered in such a way that in the event that the sick patient is not showing improvement, there is room for divine intervention, we may need it.
Fact - the 50 million $, CEP Project, Copperbelt including Kabwe, 2003 - 2011, World Bank, Nordic Development Fund. Spent way over budget at $53 million. By the World Banks own admission the project did not meet objectives and failed to make any sustainable impact. This is why further funds are to be committed. One wonders with all the commitment of organisations why the area is failed. Perhaps, sometimes, the hand outs are a product of the failure to want to make an impact. No pollution, no grants funding.
is Kitwe not Kabwe. Somehow the Kabwe site has managed to obtain the label Black Mountain in a few articles dating from very recent times. The Zambian Government, through ZCCM Investment Holdings Plc ("ZCCM"), retained responsibility for a wide range of environmental concerns which have not been passed on to the subsequent mining entities. Although BMR is thus insulated entirely from responsibility for legacy issues, it intends to fully play its part in remediating and improving the environment in carrying out activities at Kabwe.
Why are you so defensive. It will clearly been almost 6 months since the publication of the "Approved Works Programme" was originally meant to be delivered. Jubilee, by all accounts, have been working tirelessly to design and deliver the optimum plant processing circuit design and budget, due now by the end of August. All works are apparently continuing and have continued since the Jubilee task force was mobilised early this year. It does appear that the BMR Zambia affliction has struck JLP in the same way that BMR were smitten and the amorphous blue print meanders through time. Clearly they too are enacting a Brexit plan within the town of Kabwe, a little fudge here and change of plan there. I have little faith in their ability to deliver in time and in full. Their track record certainly points to changes and delays and this a fairly straight forward project. The metals recovery will be hugely profitable once recovery gets underway. This exercise has already been peer reviewed when the original specifications, recoveries, plant design and budget was published. That process was extremely profitable and excluded V recovery. Failure appears to be something that both companies, unfortunately, are prepared to accept.
Called me yesterday, as I had left a couple of please call messages. We are where we are at the moment. It appears that we navigated the license revocation by enlisting the services of a gentleman who is well connected and holds a position of authority in FQ. Funny that, they started at Bwana Makumba, an MA folly. The said gentleman will hopefully liaise with the authorities to change the conditions, commissioning September, production December. One would hope that this route proves successful and the Blue Skies are hit Square on with the servicing dollars paid. There was a normal channel for recourse which was long, tedious, costly. Apparently the whole episode came about due to misdemeanors or renegade actions within the Ministry, there have also been changes at the top, which we know. So that is where we are. The paid wizards of mining protocol will hopefully succeed in bending a few minds and changing some wording.
He is obviously feeling the pinch as various close ties have followed AB to the Oasis which has become a mirage for all those that believed in the tantalising value within those Kabwe dumps. So we are not alone in adding to the pressure which he is rightfully succumbing to, it all happened on his watch. We need to raise capital, a nomad, will it happen, well he is attempting to swing everything into place before "D" day.
The rest of it is really out of his control. The Jagged Little Pill is rearranging the goal posts, pushing out the time lines and generally promoting tardiness. They are doing little to accelerate the project, its more pussy footing about, tweaking an existing process and appearing to be making their mark. Why August and why the delay? He is apparently pretty powerless and cannot influence JLP, which is a little concerning. So no idea about thru put or type of product being output. We have to wait for the slow progress JLP are making. Let's hope it is all worth the wait and that this next month sees us return. Another concern would be that until JLP announce the plan that they have been working on since the days of winter, will the 3 musketeers part with pennies? I hope we see something from this comedy of errors which is now taking three curtain calls before we get an outcome. Things move slowly in Africa and it seems as though JLP are equipped for that pace of life. As metals have risen in value, V, now at $37.5k tonne, so have raw material input prices, I suggested, as we have V we could make our own Acid. AB did say that there may be some deals to be done in that direction, so we may yet sing along to Lucy and her Sky of Diamonds.
and Sirly, Thank you for your humble opinions. They have been added to the conjecture pile and will be recycled accordingly. I know not why one takes such an interest in predicting demise. Let us work towards a constructive result for all those concerned. Each will be of mutual benefit to the sum of the parts involved.
