I am happy that i took a punt om these , pre the trading statement
Yes up 1.86 % today , hopefully tomorrow will be positive
Hi , i bought some shares in this company this morning for the first time , i am hoping for some positive news on them on thursday . not long to wait i guess ,
good luck all
Actually hold the euphoria , im only up £25 on my spread bet account , my share holding on barclays is still down £234 . Maybe next month .
I'm up £25 . its been a while since i was in profit . could it be the fact of cheaper oil or more passengers ?
Hi Davey , i have been in it over 15 years , since it was called stanelco . it is absolutely useless , the spreads are always so wide that it discourages trading in it . Im pretty sure if the market makers brought the spread down to 3-5 % a lot more people would trade it .
Is there any chance this share price rise has anything to do with putin and the chinese meeting in uzbekistan today ? . just a thought
ha ha , that made me chuckle
its very rare i feel the need to comment on here BUT why on earth would anyone even mention cine and rolls royce in the same sentence .
im sorry to hear that you lost that much money chris , i too had a big loss in the 2000 dot com bubble crash , it may not feel like it today but it will not feel as painful in time and then you can start to claw it back with a much better trading/investing mind set . good luck mate
exactly right , the market hasnt got to be going in one direction to earn money , you can short any number of things and hedge your trade in rolls royce . we all know trading is about probabilities and the probability is they will be at a higher price than this in a years time .
we were up 64% on friday and 25 % in the first 30 mins of monday, 89% in two days doesnt happen anywhere without a massive dose of profit taking . if you are a trader the price action was so far outside of the bollinger band that it was screaming sell . if you are a long term investor you just have to ride it out and hope that when it settles it settles at a higher sp .
yes of course , thats a fair one .
im with you on that contrarian , i have 8500 shares that cost me £7500 at roughly 90 p , im not convinced they will be worth that come thursday . but its probably worth the punt , no one in their right mind would own 800,000 of these would they ? whats the saying about eggs and baskets
i;ve been trading over 20 years and i hold for me quite a big position in rolls royce shares . But i dont pretend to know what the SP will be in 6 months or a years time . no one knows , they look reasonably priced at the moment but if S&P or the FTSE lose another 10-15 % i would assume RR will do the same . And at the moment the global stock markets look more likely to lose 15% than to gain 15% , so im guessing i will be in these for a good while yet .
A lot of my friends are in the building industry , and have work booked months in advance . their biggest problem is getting labour and price of materials going up every week . so im with you no recession yet just a very jittery stock market
the whole market is getting sold , its not rolls , aviation specific . there isnt any panic in the market yet , and the selling is pretty orderly imo . we have had years of cheap money and no inflation pushing up asset prices and now there is a bit of payback . charts will mean nothing at the moment as its all sentiment driven and the sentiment is definitely a bit bearish . its been much worse than this before and it will be again
Hi , what analysis have you done that gets bp. to 330p , im just interested . thanks
ok , i just thought that if you were fortunate enough to get in below that price and they have just had the trading update etc and by the look of it , all the bad news is in the price . you would be looking to hold on for a bigger return . but hey there are a million reasons why a fragile market can collapse and take all the stocks with it . good luck going forward
im new to this platform , but not to investing . did someone post that they got out at 82.5 p ?
