It's great to see 160p once again!!
Very exciting stuff! I chucked in 5k at 60p then another 5k at 100, and have been riding the wave since - pre COVID levels would be incredible but the management to me have made it very clear it's not a pipe dream. The broker predictions lately have been fantastic too.
JEFFERIES RAISES WILLIAM HILL PRICE TARGET TO 330 (305) PENCE - 'BUY'
Not much of an update, but nice way to kick the week off.
JPMORGAN RAISES WILLIAM HILL PRICE TARGET TO 220 (200) PENCE - 'OVERWEIGHT'
If the whole world isn't entirely insane, this will end up in the blue today
There's going to be plenty more days / weeks like this on the road to £2 and up. We all saw the half year results, until the company does something to make me believe they don't have everything under control, it's a hold for me
Another great day, bring on next week and breaking past 160p
Don't think this is anything bad, likely given shares or bought shares on the condition they would be sold if she left within a certain time frame
No reason to be selling at this price unless you have to for personal reasons or you managed to catch that falling knife during March
I'll take solid consistent days like these over the crazy rises that sometimes mean a correction for a few days after. Given how much future proofing they're doing here with the shift into online, as well as the work on the US we love to mention (because its truly impressive stuff) I can't see this not going above £2, and then some.
Champions league is back on and PL 20/21 returns in just over a month too. It'll be good to resume top flight football where the winners aren't set in stone like Liverpool pretty much were when the restart came about!
He's using legacy AOL internet and a Blackberry, two things he's heavily invested in - so is still trying to refresh this page since the day he made that comment to see how his prediction is doing
The bit that cemented it for me, by the CEO himself:
"We have continued to develop both our technology platform and our product offerings, with more significant enhancements to come in the second half. The balance sheet has been strengthened by the prompt actions we took to keep cash in the business, the successful placing, and the recognition of the VAT refund.
"As a result, we have the financial strength to confidently pursue our growth agenda, taking advantage of our market leading position in sports betting in the US, and the terrific opportunity that Eldorado's merger with Caesars brings."
All we need now is a semi-rational market to get us back to where we belong!!
Well said. I feel like the rise is clearly in anticipation of some very good news so fingers crossed we're all laughing tomorrow - I'm in the process of buying my first home at the moment and this SP improving means I'll be able to make those first few months feel much less stressfu!
Mine is 80 and I'm still not thinking about selling either, I just genuinely think at some point the SP has to reflect on all the positive news we've seen the last few weeks / months. We're so close to Wednesday to hear about how it's all going from the company itself, the most rationale thing in my opinion is to wait for that news and reassess based on actual news rather than the erratic and clearly illogical SP of late
Good luck all!
Yep! Just like clockwork, the 4pm dive begins
Longest I've seen us in the green for what seems like an eternity
I second Jet7 here, so close to the CEOs talks im going to hang on and make a decision based on how it behaves afterwards
It has all of us here stumped. Everyone is in agreement there's enough good news to send it flying but its just not happening. Not only that its regularly wipes out the previous weeks progress (if there is any).
I'll still be holding though!
Sorry, I meant 888 being closer to the ceiling than William Hill! Everything you've mentioned is exactly why I'm holding on to my WMH shares.
Good luck to you pal I hope it works out - personally I think they're awful close to their ceiling but I'd have also said that at 160p too. Hopefully all ships rise and we all come out of this laughing!
