Well, I said high inflation rather than hyper inflation. Hyper inflation is a different story, that's defined as 50% MONTHLY inflation. In a scenario like that it won't matter what we own, we'd be screwed! There's benefits to having a liquid balance sheet and there's benefits to having large land bank. Depends on what economic scenario will play out. I agree balance is the key and a lot of these housebuilders have both.and have been very well run since 2009. Personally I have a very small holding in Barrett and Taylor Wimpey, which by some miracle is still in the green even without dividends. I'm going to start buying Persimmon and Bellway soon and just average down in small amounts.
