When promises of future wealth and success have been made repeatedly and hinted at and it is all bluster and becomes nothing. Then when the management go silent and make no hints of a liquidity event it then really does mean that there is no plan B and then if the next two wells are empty Sound will be worth? I can not believe that if there was not some glimmer of hope we would not know about it. If this share reduces to zero you may wish you had got out even at this level.
I agree with you - the share price is low and that is why in your words “desperate talk of takeovers”
Mick - you’ve hit the nail on the head - “only happens when the share price is low” - I think that is why Iqe is vulnerable. No one would want to buy it if it was too expensive.
Captain Mannering Crude - you are so forgiving of Sound and it’s failure to creat shareholder wealth yet you pour scorn on anyone who can see what’s happening and who points it out. Pomposity at its best. I think Fellrunner has seen the light and is happy to share. May this board be balanced and brave
Frank - it’s more than that. The picture is a management who have been very good at raising funds by creating an army of supporters and a frenzy of expectation. Fire side chats - gurkin events - tours of the sites - hints an innuendo about future success and lots of quiet words that are then displayed here second hand. Further this management doesn’t seem able to find gas and doesn’t seem able to learn from experience. My biggest worry is the data harvested from the last hole in the ground isn’t being used to inform the next drills. It looks like the layers of rock are not permeable/ porous enough to hold hydrocarbons in quantities that are economic to tap. To me this looks devastating as whatever the seismic show - traps and folds then there will be no lakes or gas to be discovered as simply there’s no room. So why spend your last pennies drilling it. I think they should distribute any cash they have - sell off the assets to highest bidder (if they can find one) and wind the company up and most importantly stop paying themselves with your money.
Orangutan stop apeing around. It hurts when you lose that much and I’m proud of your bravery. I’m sure pj is proud of you as well. In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone was proud of you. Not a single tear.
Hate to be out of this one over the weekend - don’t give your tickets away - golden tickets - pj looks confident - jj is the one - Brian is so clever - I was told on the hush - at the fireside - time to top up - it’s a steal - we’re not ramping you de-ramper - filter out the negative - flip a burger - sad
Crude are you for real. You seriously think the odds shorten because you’ve had two empty holes in a row. That would or could be the case if you use the data to inform future holes in the ground. But they aren’t - the three well campaign is set, so my reading of it the odds of success get worse.
What bit was incorrect - was it the bit that says each hole in the ground costs about 10M - was it the bit that says Sound has between 20and 30M left to spend or was it my commentary about the fact that this 3 hole campaigne is set, so the data harvested from the last failed hole in the ground is not being used to inform where the next two holes are being drilled. The Management in my humble opinion are not being adgile and not using this past failure to inform themselves in how to spend the last bit of money they have. If the next two holes are empty - and judging by past experience they will be - then Sound will be worth nothing. To me it looks desperate and ill judged, blind and frankly not very professional. What is the point in collecting data if you are not going to use it.
What happened there - my post was removed so quickly that I suspect my view may be close to the truth. I can’t be bothered to write it again. As it was neither abusive or offensive I hope it will be re posted. Only positive spin is allowed here.
No gas can get trapped if all the layers are low low permeability. Seismic shows where traps might be but If all the rock is so compacted/dense/close packed then no gas/ hydrocarbons can collect. Do the layers follow through to the new wells. If so you have no chance of discovering new gas.
Rosenblatt sees iPhone XR recovery in China See ‘seeking alpha’ I hope this is true. It seems online China retailers offered XR at 10% discount over a holiday period and sales have picked up. Maybe Apple will take note and reduce margin and price in a bid for sales. All good for us
It looks like the rocks where hydrocarbons might reside are too dense and compacted to have room for much gas or oil. If the geology is similar for the planned new wells maybe the probability for success is lower. Is it worth spending all the spare cash on them or should the whole campaign be informed by the new knowledge and look for different geology or cut the losses wind up and distribute the cash to the shareholders.
And wages and Golden Tickets and empty holes in the ground. It’s enough to make you distrust the people running this shambles. I have been warning about the risks here for ever and although I am truly fat I’m not wrong. I think shareholders are entitled to be angry as they’ve been sold a pup. The only winners here are the Directors who get paid a salary. What happens when the next two holes in the ground are empty and the monies run out. What will Sound then be worth? Zilch de nada nothing.
