With almost 10% of these shares sold short or about 70 Million shares sold short, that will eventually have to be bought back, and with only about 4Million shares traded today (so far) and less than 2 Million of those bought and further the share price increases over 5% on such low volume you can imagine that the shorters will be scratching their heads and wondering how to get out of this without losing their or their clients money. It looks like a short squeeze is on the cards. I hope the private investors keep hold of their shares until at least 190 the hl target.
Fatty is pleased to announce a fatuous update - We are awaiting seismic to determine which tooth to clean, once determined and agreed by the partner, it maybe six to eight weeks to mobilise the brush as it happens to reside in a different country. Truth be told his wife thinks this is a delaying tactic.
I thought I would issue my own rns. Fattyr is pleased to announce that he is preparing to Mobilise his toothbrush sometime in the future. Fattyr said “ this is a great day for teeth and we fully expect them to be clean soon”
And the price drifts down. I just read the flurry of rns statements issued over the last week or so and was surprised that they were issued at all. Some companies, frustratingly, have lots to say and keep quiet and others like Sound have nothing to say but want to keep issuing rns statements. It all looks a bit desperate
Again more buys than sells and price goes down significantly. Apple is prebuying 20% less stuff than last year allegedly - but remember our stuff the vertical cavity ... will now be in all the phones allegedly and further our stuff may well be on the back of the phone as well as the front - so I would be surprised if Apple isn’t buying double triple quadruple the amounts of wafers from iqe it did last year. If I had any more spare cash I would buy on the dips- Nelson said during the AGM that is exactly what the institutions are doing.
Weren’t we told already we had approval - but just waiting for the ministers signature - so this new rns is a second bite at the cherry - I suppose it’s a way of spreading out good news. The important thing is not news flow but what the news is and whether it’s same old same old. To me it seems desperate but with the share price up a bit so congratulations to pj for a good mornings work.
Thanks Harry the dog - this is the bit I like “The supply volume of smartphone parts, including camera modules and sensors, will likely increase despite the slowdown in the global smartphone market,” said Kim Ji-san, an analyst from Kium Securities, adding Samsung Electro-Mechanics would be one of the beneficiaries of the market trend.”
Thanks mick - I understand I’ve seen my own trades being misdescribed but they are more often described correctly than not. The problem is that people are encouraged to sell not only by the price going up but perversely by the price going down. This non linearity means the market makers can set the price as it wants in order to find shares but more people buy as the price drops. To get shares the market maker just has to move the price up or down. Isn’t it one of the MM duties to create a stable market. Investors have and will lose confidence in iqe which will have negative consequences for iqe to do business and/or raise money. Potential clients will want to do due diligence on a potential supplier and iqe will look shabby with its share price gyrations. I hope the regulators take notice and further iqe appoints a new finance director and starts opening up a bit - so investors have more confidence and the market behaves in a linear fashion and the share price smooths. Rant over
You don’t know it will happen soon - time is a flexible thing here. 18 Months creep in a petty pace towards your distant death. Why forget about pj’s share strategy - that is just burying your head in the sand. He sold because he could not because he must - despite it being hypocritical pj did so and I speculate here because it was in his self interest. That is fine you say but it would be in his self interest if he knew something about Sounds prospects that was negative - say in the seismic that goes on in a petty pace towards you .... it smells and pj and his friends are being paid all the while with your money.
Level up - I made a momentary mistake and listened to the hype about news to come. There was no news so I stepped off having lost a few percent. If I had stayed aboard I would now be further underwater. We all make mistakes but the trick is to learn from them. Some on here don’t seem to learn and keep being financially kicked.
Hi David - this is no Facebook - what I find amusing is that no one is up to the challenge to value Sound. It’s all finger in the air pub talk. At the moment I think Sound is worth nothing, zilch, de nada. This is because it doesn’t generate any money. When you get an offer then your talking but until then you have nothing.
