don't focus on the retained loss or retained profit in the 12/2017 annual results because that is being overcome on a daily basis by current trading performance so is no indicator of how we are doing.

Look at cash generation from operations, debt levels and debt costs and remember the write off for Afritin is a one off item and is not a cash loss. Put another way if you look at your car and its worth 10000 today but was worth 15000 last week, its not 5000 less cash in your bank account and it doesn't alter your ability to buy the groceries next week.

The other thing to look for is commentary confirming previous stated objectives are being met together with any information given on how business is going since the date of the accounts. gla

the fy17 accounts are as you say Nick going to show a mixed bag, the numbers will be below par but the story will be top drawer. The MM will undoubtedly try to frighten people into selling - I am planning to add if cash is on hand and if they will let me in.gla
