Laallee - the answer you require is - George Galloway fawning before Saddam Hussain.
I will pop down to the Grenadier and await your non arrival.
What is it with you and the Grenadier? I reckon you were stung by the prices, on your only ever visit, and want everyone else to suffer.
There have been problems - you know the history. A lot of it was not down to the board.
You should expect the shorters to be posting their usual doom and gloom.
I have no idea if the company will progress from the dilemmas they have suffered, over many years, most not their fault.
They clearly got something right. Reducing the debt.
I hope they remember the LTHs who have been in here since year dot. I believe they will, at last.
Maybe I am an optimist, rather than a pessimist. It is the only way to go through life.
So, I am hanging on and wish them all the best.
Davie, they are not topping up. They are closing their short positions
well, I have lost so far, £40,000. Times are hard. I have had to reduce my real ale intake to just 5 pints a day. The handyman only comes in once a week, for his 6 hour day, as that is all I can afford. I have had to stop buying the cleaner large joints of meat to supplement the £13 an hour I pay her.
I still have a little left over to feed the birds, hedgehogs and the lame fox that hobbles round every evening for a freebie meal, but I am now having to go to Waitrose on a Saturday evening to pick up the reduced meals to feed myself.. Apart from that, it is a struggle, especially when a couple of years ago, I thought I might become a millionaire.
Life's a ***** and then you dye your hair.
find me, I wasn't at the meeting you refer to, so didn't refuse to go to the same place or drink elsewhere.
The last meeting I went to was as described by me. Just setting the narratives straight.
hello, Findme,
nice to hear from you.
Uncas, imho, was a shill, who spent hours in the pub, after our annual presentation from BPC, talking only to whichever director BPC sent along to listen and get free drinks from us. At the very end of this long pub session, Uncas popped over and said goodbye to the long suffering investors. That took him about ten seconds.
I have never met Starchild. I have met Uncas. I know who I believe has a researched opinion, backed by research, that, due to bad luck, may not materialise. Star has done a lot of work for the investors. He has his opinion. It is genuine, imho.
It is Uncas who invited people onto his private messaging. I have no idea what he was posting, but I would bet he wasn't trashing the share.
I know who I believe. Even if eventually proved wrong, Star did it with posts that showed potential positives. Of course, everyone can be wrong in their assessments, but he was an optimist. So am I, even if my optimism turns out to be misguided. I would rather be like that in life than all you on this board moaning about your investment bumping along the bottom.
Star has clearly stated he has no involvement with CEG pseudo posters, and I believe him.
In my humble opinion, based on what I have observed, first hand, Uncas is probably one of them and not, like Star, one of us.
Star, welcome back. You have always been welcomed here by a minority of people who always believed you were genuine, informative and well researched.
As you know, 'the truth always lies within the minority'.
Keep me, and a few others, informed. The rest of the nonsense posters on this board - forget them.
It's like the poor chap who was bullied at school, with his peers telling him he had green hair.
He knew he didn't have green hair, so he was not bothered with their ridiculous comments, for he knew they must be mad. It is only when peers say something like 'you are ugly' that they worry, for then, they are not sure, for they cannot know whether that is true, in the eyes are others.
I really hope we meet up someday, even if this share goes up or down, for I always found your posts enlightening and I think you are one of the very few people on this board who is a good bloke. It may not work out, it may work out, but you had integrity. I admire that.
Michaelfleming - 'It's over' ??
That was a Roy Orbison song. Are you, too, blind?
laallee - 'it's over' is the punch line?
I didn't realise you were joking, for that just wasn't funny. In order to lose a sense of humour, you first must have one.
And why, please tell me, do you bang on about the Grenadiers pub in London? It is one of the most expensive places in Belgravia, they have never heard of you, yet it keeps popping up in your missives. I am intrigued.
recently, you posted this load of baloney -
Linton,
I was in the Grenadier last night enjoying a Beef Wellington with my wife.
Later in the evening i got chatting with an old American fella wearing sunglasses and he had quite substantial sideburns.
For some strange reason the discussion moved on to investing and trusting the management of certain companies.
I mentioned Challenger/BPC-
The old American looked me in the eye, lowered his shades and said to me "Its Over"
how you managed to get 8 recommends on that lie is perplexing to me.
They do not know you in the Grenadiers, for I waited in vain for you to turn up, at your invitation to us all, some time ago, and even I struggled to pay the bill for two glasses of wine, waiting for Godot.
Antha, sadly, I do not. I am one of life's losers, presumably being punished for indiscretions in previous lives.
I sold Fortune to buy more of this donkey in the last money grabbing exercise. As this went down tenfold+, Fortune went up tenfold.
I am off to the Cheltenham races tomorrow for what will probably be the very last time, as my money has been wiped out by my belief in pundits who were optimistic. Nothing wrong with being optimistic, of course, but I should have seen the light when Uncas banged on about 'jam tomorrow' and that was an ongoing exercise for a decade.
When the Bahamas government state - if oil is found in substantial quantities in Bahamas waters, they would look to getting carbon credits, rather than producing the oil found.
There is not a company in the world who would ever consider drilling in the Bahamas, if they cannot produce the oil they find.
This new Bahamas government are so many kangaroos short in the top park, I now realise the game is over. Been a long run, but my £40,000 investment, made over a decade, is now worthless.
Such a shame. I am now so broke, I have had to stop going to the local pub, for I cannot afford it anymore.
a bit disingenous of Eytan to say he has lost money on share purchases, like all investors, forgetting about the whopping salary he gets.
Apart from that, he clearly wants this sorted by end of year and, of course, I wish him luck in that endeavour. It is about time they had a bit of luck. Hope it's not too late.
JohnBriggs, you posted this -
"oh dear fatalcharm, I'm really sorry to say but you need to open your eyes.
Genuine or not, Starthingy allowed himself to influence others through his own hubris and owes many an apology here.".
Star did not have hubris - he had optimism, in my opinion. Genuine or not? I choose to believe he was genuine.
That is the way to go through life, surely?
But I acknowledge you point. You cannot continue to dream, after you have woken up.
In Star's defence, I believe he is genuine and is seriously invested here. He did some very good research to justify his optimism. It wasn't his fault P1 went down as fast as the equipment disappeared down the drill well. BPC (CEG) have had extraordinary bad luck.
They were tempting fate after naming the new company after a shuttle disaster. They should have called the new company 'Jesus Petroleum'
I urge Starchild to post again. I for one want to know what he thinks now.
Thanks very much - it's been a rollercoaster ride for over a decade and my finances are now problematic, but that's my fault.
no. I drive a Mazda sports car. I cycle to the Henty and leave my bike outside the saloon bar.
Will have to give up the booze soon as I can't afford it, having lost £40,000 on this share.
jono, I will be in the Henty at Noon today saloon bar
In a world of massive increases in the oil price, it is sad that CEG have got to a position where the 150 million invested, to do all the surveys, research etc, comes to nothing, as they must have allowed dodgy geezers into the data room who will not abide by the terms and conditions of international law. The data, worth a lot, has been nicked. Too many countries do not abide by the law. Expect the Chinese or Russians to be drilling in the Bahamas within 3 years.
The new Bahamas government do not set up a sovereign fund, announcing their ambition, for nothing.
Norway successfully set one up, after discovering their wealth of natural resources, and, unlike Thatcher, maintained it for the benefit of their citizens.
JonnyBriggs stated the following, so many posts ago, as this has been a tsunami of negativity posted here.
'Fatalcharm will be waiting for Starchild to appear to tell him what he should be thinking and provide reassurance that it's just trollers talking down the company's prospects and there's nothing to worry about.'
I too, await Starchild's response, for, because I am his poodle/lapdog, he hasn't fed me for many days and I think I am going to die. At least give us some water, so I can survive till Christmas.
thanks very much, Star for posting again. You have my usual 'recommend'
