Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
thank you, Spritefan, for that reassuring piece of information.
Do you remember, back in the bad old days when, despite deep suspicions about the time scales, Uncas was posting that it was entirely possible P1 would be drilled in 2015!!! He was 6 years too early for that confident prediction, so I am hoping Starchild isn't Uncas, for I may look as gullible as a Trump supporter.
2015 was around the time our doubts were beginning to be stirred about what Uncas was up to, especially when, at an after presentation jolly in a London pub, he was seen to be glued to the member of the board, old Bill. At the very end of the 5 hour booze up, he deigned to pop over and say goodbye before he had even said hello.
Findme, I was going to post back earlier and suggest Starchild may be Uncas but I wavered and now you have suggested what I was thinking.
You may well be right and I have been done up like a kipper. I personally believe the company has a future, and Stuncas is merely reinforcing what I think with his in depth background to various aspects of the company and its potential. At this point in time, we need a bit of positivity but not the blue sky thinking that Willec bangs on about. At least Starchild is reasoned and backs it with data, stats etc, and, if he is Uncas, then I have been willing to go along with his jam tomorrow rhetoric, for he has the ear of the board, methinks, and is a clandestine spokesman.
Of course, I hope Starchild, who is not a liar, pops up here and asks us who on earth Uncas is as it isn't him. We shall see.
But, I acknowledge the similarities you have pointed out.
Zag, what are you doing using bars when it's not Ramadan? Time on your hands? You may not have a hand as a punishment, although I think the actual penalty for a Muslim drinking is 80 lashes (not of beer)
Hi, findme,
I have always appreciated Starchild's take on this company. No tongue in cheek. He is well informed with his comments, in my opinion, and, although contrary to the prevailing negativity, makes a lot of sense to me. He is positive about the company's future and so am I.
Hi, Starchild. Where is your post for today? I and a lot of others enjoy reading them. Positive, well researched and compelling.
Bridgedogg, 'would anyone sign up to shares below the current price'?
I have. The company get no cash from people buying on the open market. They get the cash by shareholders buying into the offer and I will take the risk to help the company out.
This company have had a great deal of vicissitude. It seems a tormenting wairua have followed them for over a decade, resulting in tribulations and impoverishment.
Unless they really are cursed forever, their luck must surely change for the better. I'm betting they are not bedeviled. I'm in again.
I'm in.
Starchild, thanks for putting the link to the presentation up here. It sounds positive to me and the rise in the share price probably reflects some confidence in the new CEO and the board's plans for the future. I have opted to take all my allocation.
just seen the presentation and, to me, it does show a way forward. I have already indicated I will take my full allocation of shares.
As for the name change, it looks like Challenger will be challenged. We need a more appropriate name. One that shows we are rising up. Phoenix Exploration? Sea Level Resources? Trump Supporters Incorporated? Jesus Petroleum?
anybody else having a problem accessing the corporate action?
Starchild, I think it is fine you putting a positive spin on this, countering the doom squad. What happened to this company is a construction of circumstances beyond their control. By merging with Cerp, they avoided almost certain closure as their only asset was, at the time, P1.
With regard to your referencing the urban slang of 'starfish', I think some would argue the LTHs are all starfish, having just laid there while the board screwed us out of all our money for a decade and counting.
NellyB was spot on when pointing out that naming the company after a shuttle disaster is such a silly thing to do. They should have opted for something more appropriate.
How about New York Mining
my take is this -
Despite giving the impression there was a plethora of companies falling over themselves to enter the data room with a view to an offer, the company know they will not be getting a JV, hence the name change away from the Bahamas, which is stymied, and the only option left to raise money by placing more shares. All imho.
this share is being diluted so much, I now have homeopathic medicine that is stronger.
thanks Tiburn and I have given you a mark up. I now realise oil exploration is a bit different to mending clocks.
Nice to read some well thought out posts from Tiburn and Starchild. I only have one tiny query.
Tiburn states P1 met 80% of its targets. Isn't that a bit like a horologist saying to a customer
"I've corrected all the faults in this clock except one - it won't go" ?
Starchild, I appreciate your well reasoned and evidential posts - so do many others - and I agree with you that there is a lot of negative, vicious and unsubstantiated baloney posted on this chat board. There is more rubbish here than in the Pacific trash vortex.
bet the rise in price has put the wind up the shorters. Maybe we are the next Gamestop? If we are, this time next week we could be millionaires.
Don't understand why Rossannan wants Starchild to admit he's wrong when he appears to be right and Rossannan and the sceptics appears to be wrong.
Looking forward to Rossannan's mea culpa.
Carl1990, Starchild does provide reasons for his enthusiasm for this share, with evidence that seems logical to me. You are just moaning.
