Titan thank you for the RW viewpoint. Off to the (green) bin. Enjoy.
On this misty afternoon in Wiltshire, I was wondering how many crew there are currently on board the Icemax and will the drill crew be joining later on or is the ship already up to its full working crew required for the drill?
Hi Bynari, a bit of a radical idea from an ex Chinook helicopter driver: finish your trials at sea Mrs/Miss/Ms Icemax, stay put and get a Chinook (lifts 10 tonnes), (or 3 regular helos) to replen you at sea with your fresh rations and water. Thus saving time going back to harbour and then back to sea and already ahead of the RW drag-curve. Just a thought Mr SP.
Many thanks for the update.
Does anyone know if Icemax will return to port (Las Palmas) after the sea trials to do a mini replenishment eg food and water, or will she set sail straight away for the Bahamas? I'm guessing she'll come back to port which is why RW hasn't bothered following her this time?
DrillMax has just left port as well!
Here = hear.
I did here that after departure Simon and Eytan were invited onboard RW for lunch with Captain Pugwash and his first officer Master Bates.
I wonder if Simon and Eytan were in port to see her off safely?
Now turning North 5kts.
She's accelerating 4kts now heading 144 degrees!
Greenpeace's Rainbow Warrior Cruises the GAB powered by Diesel. ... It's engine, a Volvo Penta D65A MT 1850 HP, is a diesel-electric motor that uses fuel at the rate of 206 g/kWh of power as Greenpeace activists cruise it all over the world to protest the very resource its dependent on.
my last post was for Targus
Are we not allowed to ask questions then oh great king of all knowledge?
The Rainbow Warrior is obv going to try and disrupt in some way the smooth passage of IceMax. What would happen if the RW moored itself with 4 chains Right Over our exact drilling spot? Genuine question.
No ADVN for me And the vile abusive drug/booze-fuelled attacking violence from one of their “posters”.
It's still in Harbour.
Good spot. Thanks very much that explains it perfectly.
An excellent interview with Simon and Eytan, polished, professional and upbeat. However, during the interview Eytan said that they (which I took to mean himself and Simon) "had a considerable personal investment in BPC (shares)". I can see from the Directors holdings that this is clearly the case with Simon who holds millions of shares but I cannot see any personal investment share holding by Eytan. Am I missing something please?
ah ok I am a month premature. Thanks
