The shenanigans today : an 8 % rise on a minimal number of trades today - check out the ones before 09:00 - every 10 minutes for 250 shares. Clearly a trainee to stock manipulation - Training, i suppose.

Fair play to them, they can knock 6.5 % (16p) off the Mcap by playing about with 100K shares in one day.

I suppose they will want less then 2 quid before closing any positions - a few decent O buys, so every cloud...

Accommodation is where future growth is for non wet income, IMHO, don' t know about solely new builds - Wadworth converts many 10-20 bedroom older pubs, on a good acreage, for a lot less then a new build.

I find the price of this share to be reasonably stable in this current turbulence and the 8 % div makes it one for the long hold divi portfolio.

Hopefully others will not panic sell and ride the waves.

True enough if the 'back nine' was a mariner on the gold coast it would be worth tens of millions, instead of a few mill. from measly housebuilders. Sadly, it is not on the gold coast.

Yes exetrchief, the price tag banded about was between 3.5 & 4.2 Billion, amuses me that a few dodgy financial hacks with online calculators reckon that Emma has been done - always let the female negotiate when you know what you will pay. Not meant as sexist, but always know where you stand.

Don't know about buying anymore though - I think my divi portfolio may pay better, albeit for a bit more risk, with a plus 12% payer at a good price? Cant see GSK putting on a 20% capital increase in the next year or so.
