Yes, a good week it has turned out to be so far Krustysmegma! I ended up re-jigging the 'folio jettisoning some dead wood to buy the dip - rather pleased I did. Live and learn. Hopefully back on a good footing for the future. I'll teat myself to a few beers why not ;) Cheers!
Interesting thanks. In a similar vein as per article below. I have been reading up extensively on Iceland's commitment to Hydrogen production and exports in particular. I topped up with quite significantly with the drop this week having been looking for a re-entry point and pleased I did. I strongly suspect Ceres has only one direction to go from here. Of course others are entering the game and I have no crystal ball. Time will tell... https://www.montelnews.com/en/story/traders-await-hydrogen-boom/1178833
Cheers Krustysmegma. Good advice indeed - will serve me well in years to come. Just need that handy side-pot available ha! Encouraging to see there has been bit of a lift whilst eating my lunchtime sandwich.
Thanks for the link and advice Gordon. Keep smiling the best approach! I would think that for anyone on the sidelines looking for an entry point we can't be far off the bottom.... esp. with the current decent discount. The managers of this Trust I still have confidence in and I put this big drop down to market hysteria. The good thing with that is that if I am correct we'll see a bounce back swiftly once people realize the world hasn't imploded just yet.
Small time investor here who was fortunate through 2019/2020 having backed this horse and stuck with it. Painful to see me and the missus ISA pot gains get shot through to shreds in 4 weeks. No matter how much reading I have done and sticking to my mantra of riding through the dips this one hurts. I have been scanning board for guidance as many here far more wise than me and trying to make a call of whether to stick through the rest of this week or take a few more hits. Can only hope this regains some ground and picks up to where we were in Jan over next few years. Thanks all for contributions, a helpful resource at times like this and good luck to all sticking with the long game. On the plus side a lesson has been learned to lock in some gains when going is good.
*correction 20 years off
slightly off topic but maybe useful for the long term holders out there. Iceland's hub airport effectively plans to double flights and capacity between now and 2030 a large proportion of flights trans-Atlantic that is only 10 years off... Video here https://youtu.be/H7FuKRaWoTo
having bought in at around 200p i can't be arsed to do the sums... i'll just let this ride for the next 10 years. Careful research with a fair wind does occasionally pay off kit seems. Good luck to all opting to stick with it - it has a lot further to go yet.
a former footballer that doesn't know how to operate a microwave?! Either has an understanding wife or goes hungry.
https://www.rolls-royce.com/media/our-stories/discover/2020/intelligentengine-poweroftrent-a-new-start-with-saf.aspx - results of SAF tests to be published early in the NY. Thought might be of interest to share if not old news.. Big opportunity for RR to lead the way on future engine tech.
https://www.theengineer.co.uk/rolls-royce-testbed-80/ caught this today mentions saf testing if i am not mistaken boeing uses trent engines on a number of its aircraft
scanning thread this morning I'm reminded of the heckler on Happy Gilmore... No doubt it is apparent from my last few posts but I remain excited about the prospects for this company despite the exit of Greta's best-loved oil major. If it does go to plop (yes it may) such is life, I'll save losing sleep for bigger things. Genuinely enjoying backing an innovative company such as this and for the most part(!) stopping by this board and reading everyone's insightful contributions on both positive and negative fronts. Here's hoping it is a successful year ahead esp. given COP26. Have a good w/e all.
air travel may never recover... did i hear that right..? anyone seen UN projections for global population growth or just me?

Hi Jimmy, yes funding needs to be obtained however i see Shell moving on as just a step in the journey. Shell backing out wasn't a sign of lack of confidence in VLS i think both parties recognised the marriage may not prove in each others best interests long term, best close things out now than later. Things have moved on. As VLS has alluded to they are talking with others and will have learnt things from this. Profile of project is elevated, will be an attractive opportunity for someone else out there. Also great for other PI's short term may see a further drop allowing others who are comfortable with risk to get on board and join us for the ride.
Think it is more positive with Shell out of the picture. Was conflict hopefully VLS IP not been compromised... Don't follow all this talk of bouncing animals. Like others said this is AIM. Potential still huge. Assuming you don't need cash tomo all good. God Speed.
I for one am still some way off 80k per month... jees. Who's that John Paul Getty?! I'll continue investing every penny I have. Seems to have worked so far... only stress arises from leaving it sitting doing nothing in the bank.
I'm invested with a small amount I can't be arsed tinkering just wait and see approach. In answer to your question if commercial partner lined up it could well reach 60p probably more... f*ck knows really it could go floppy all of a sudden too. I do think the product has a third leg though. A gel is something I would use over popping little blue pills that's my basic logic. Also guess it can be mixed with lube? Double whammy.
Crystal ball gazing - always entertaining! There is huge (yet untapped) opportunity for licencing technology globally. Note really sure about 21/23 but My very unqualified hunch is 2025 at least x5 current price? Who knows maybe x10...? I would not be surprised... importantly I think great minds will be attracted to working for this company.
spot on mate. Really could not give a flying turd what others say, so much noise on here but some useful intel from time to time. RR has now shed excess fat and will go the distance long term and many of us will do well out of sticking the course and supporting a great company. The press is so negative it gets boring.
