Does make me wonder if any of the 'old' BOD are now involved with any of the other bidders, like bees around a honey pot
Don't think you can include the AM as HUR leases it. Well 7 still produces though, so might be a bit of media spin. Think I read somewhere some idea to improve well 7. Who knows, nice to see some press though.
Bubble, it hasn't been announced yet what form the capital return will take yet
"the distribution will be nearer $100m with the additional offload and ongoing production."
Any reason you think they will change from $70m? All things being stable the BOD would assume the subsequent production and offloads would have happened back when they announced the $70m surely.
"fandg, The well doesn't need to run dry it just needs to become unprofitable and there’s lots if variables that play into this."
NSTiger, I don't disagree but that wasn't my reply point. Plenty of if's and buts to come on this one but as the SP drops each time there's a 'dividend' payout, as long as well 6 keeps producing the SP will rise again for the next payout.
"A 70million dividend / return of capital isn't the answer IMO it will just crash the share price by the same amount."
Yes it probably will but as long as well 6 keeps doing what its been doing for the last umpteen years the share price will recover, for another 'dividend' payout. Which will drop the price again but as long as well 6 keeps.... and on and on until the well runs dry, when ever that is
Cheers understand Daltry, wish I had the chance to look at "three months down the line" on this one a while back
I would have thought, for that 'scam' scenario to work here, CA would need to be involved with it as the majority shareholder? As at the end of the day we all need to vote on whatever's put forwards
"Of course, it goes without saying that I would be happy to eat those words with a side of humble pie provided the offer is good enough!"
Yes, I too have those thoughts that Maris is going to pull a whopping great rabbit out of the hat, then I wake up!
Yes it is a much bigger task, but HUR BOD thought either a 'transaction' would be done or a capital return programme instigated by Q1 2023 if the 2nd Nov RNS is to be believed. That's always assuming that HUR's BOD have some idea on what they are about, oh hang on a minute...
"In the event that the FSP does not result in a transaction, the Board intends to commence a significant capital return programme with up to $70 million (equivalent to 3.1 pence per share[3]) to be returned to shareholders in Q1 2023, upon completion of a capital reduction. "
Fwiw, I think it feels more frustrating because 'we' just don't trust the BOD.
Had a thought that we may hear nowt until Apr, when a lot of oil co's have new budgets to play with. Was often the case back in the day that upgrades etc got put back until "after April", I would'nt expect it to be the case with a Company buy out but then again would'nt be surprised either
"Didn't we get an operational update in January, the one before that was November."
Sorry, missed the January one amongst all the 8.5's. Not to worry won't expect one now.
Hopefully we'll at least get an operational update next week, as a minimum!
I just looked back on Laser's old posts but no clues there. Last used Altera Wave in April 2021 but no mention of draught on loading to compare against either
Ha Gandhi was certainly risking all. My great Uncle (who I knew) once had him in his sights of his Vickers machine gun, when Gandhi was a 'young upstart'. He was only waiting for the local district commissioner to tap him on the shoulder, to open fire. Needless to say my Uncle didn't get the 'tap' and Gandhi was allowed to become the man he became.
Think we're digressing a bit from HUR, apologises. Roll on the weekend ;-))
lol sense, you sound like you've been listening to the the great man himself (Churchill)
“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in..."
FWIW the dream still lives, it's right back there in the dark corner of my brain like a beacon, sometimes it cuts through the gloom. Mostly its hidden behind 'hope'. 'Hope' is hoping to an end of my association with this share, looking for that point where I think I've got the best it'll get. Although I don't think my 'dis-association' will ever happen as I'll always be looking for 'the truth'.
Conversely, and the thought just hit me. If, the current BOD do have something to hide, they'll be trying to hide/lose/stall it even deeper/longer at this point in time
"...... about both situations would give a new BoD, CA & SHs considerable peace of mind. "
A very valid point sense, I'm resigned to losing a 6 figure number on this share but what would ease the pain would be knowing 'the truth', whatever that is. For the last 3-4 years the 'water' has been way too muddy to see the bottom where 'the truth' lies.
"Russia will be forced to cut further, and close Siberian pipelines it will be unable to reopen as empty pipelines left for any time at -30C are effectively destroyed."
I doubt they will ever actually shutdown the pipelines for the reason you state, they'll be a bugger to restart. They'll try and keep then running on min flow for as long as they can though.
"I have a gut feeling that due to multiple interested credible parties that we may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome"
Yes, it feels like an ebay auction and hopefully with multiple bidders someone gets carried away. Easy done.
