Am I right in thinking that the only way we know Well 6 is still producing is via watching Marine Traffic and the tanker offloads? Is there another way?
Have I missed something here?
I thought the deal was a pretty much guaranteed 6.02p per share. Made up of
0.83p from prax
3.32 transaction dividend
1.87p supplementary special dividend
Then a further maybe 6.48p per share via the DCU’s, between the scheme becoming effective and sometime in 2026, which make’s a possible 12.5p per share total.
So what does below mean, is there an additional 1.87p in the offering, either from HUR before the scheme becomes effective or maybe after from prax
“An additional cash payment maybe paid by Prax, equal to the amount of the Supplementary Special Dividend, should Hurricane not pay the Dividend prior to the Scheme becoming effective.”
HUR's highest intraday price, if memory serves it was 64.5p.
Always remember as it was my daughters wedding, wanted to nip off and topslice but did'nt want to face the wrath of the missus, rue that decision to this day. Along with ever getting involved with HUR
FWIW if the SP ever edges anywhere near towards 9-10p I think you won't be alone with peeps shedding their ISA shares
'bump' as I see this has been moved down the page by the latest round of bun throwing.
Just for those that don't know, it is a ploy used by 'influencers' to move informative messages off of BB's, to just write non informative messages and hence move the informative messages, off the front page, so to speak.
"We do need to raise all the possible objections to the scheme to allow the judge to do his job."
Well one objection is that some of us may not be alive in 2026 to reap the 'benefits' of the scheme. 2026 may be ok for the funds that just keep rolling along but individual PI's have a limited life span
Can't see any rise happening, peeps have had since March to jump aboard and raise the SP. Why gamble? after the initial payout of 6+ p the rest is in the lap of the gods and accountants
F&G - "Did I miss your response to my question to to kever, on where the 7p max comes from?"
Kever - "Came from RB. If P6 fails then its 5p max"
Cheers for the response, I'll stick with the numbers (7.5p+ divi up to 2024) given in the RNS 2/11/22 then as nothing has materially changed operationally as not sure where RB gets his numbers from.
Correct, if well 6 fails its about 5p (and no 12.5p either) but that's always been the case with well 6. We've been hanging off that well for a long time and it hasn't let us down yet, long may it continue.
"If HUR stays as it is then its 7p max by 2026. FACT"
Did I miss your response to my question to to kever, on where the 7p max comes from?
"Honestly people, suggesting director buys are a ploy to get extra votes for the ‘one vote’ court case is absurd for a Company that nearly 2 Billion shares"
Frankly I think its a bit naive to think it doesn't mean something when the directors and their partners start buying this close to the end of a vote considering they have all been conspicuous by their absence in the HUR share buying department since, well forever
" for this deal otherwise it is 7p max"
When the 'dividends' back to the shareholders were first mooted last year if the FSP did'nt happen, from memory, I worked out we'd have 7.5p in dividends and around 100m free cash at the end of 2024. Where does your 7p max come from?
Cheer's, been covered and noted, there were actually several buy's by directors and their spouses and partners. FWIW, The consensus was it was more about having another 'yes' vote on the table than looking to make some money, so tactical buying.
"Could you think of anything else?"
And 300m+ tax credits
"I think they clocked onto one vote per shareholder and thought it was about time they became shareholders."
Yes interesting that they have dragged their partners and spouse's into the fray. I wonder what the judge would make of that, certainly seems odd at this late stage
Just sent the email Ron, thanks for the words
Lol hoping we'll all be around in December for one of us to say "told you so".
I'll still go with a January 2024 '4th' offload and you can have Dec 2023. Hopefully you're right ;-)
"There could still be another 4x lifts this year"
FWIW I think another 4 lifts this year is a bit optimistic once you factor in the annual summer shutdown. Might get it next year due to lift timings if there's a lift in January 2024. All with the usual caveats ie well 6 performing etc et al
Might be an initial dip, but HUR has 6+p per share in cash backing everything up so would expect it to rise to at least match that
Nice to see at least one thing is constant with HUR. Laserdisc, thanks once again
Does anyone know if BOD get to see the votes as they come in or do they have to wait until the end?
Also got to wondering whether the phone calls people have been getting, and their responses, might have prompted todays RNS
