You might be right Dip. It depends on how many of those shorts are closed. There is bound to be pull back or when investors sober up in the morning. I didn't call it right in January where I thought it would be 570p to 600p. Its sales while slipping have been ahead of the ale market in general and well ahead at that. I wish it wouldn't lazily blame the weather every update. Some goiod weather is overdue and with two bank holidays in May plus the Royal Wedding and World cup there may be some payback for the snow. Surely some UK equity high yield funds would be interested here in taking a position too. Hopefully the Times or Telegraph will give a buy tip tomorrow which could draw in more punters before the weekend.

Your example of 2 for 1 at �10 might hold water if they only sold one per hour.. Their wholesale cost of supply would be much lower anyway. I saw Pizza Express average cost of toppings is �1.50 yet they can wheel out pizzas for �15. A lot of shorts will be closing today. Those who took a position on another PW are getting horsed. If these shorters are flushed out and the divi is safe then we should see some strong upward momentum.

Good answers Obs! The waffle coming out of both companies is uncannily similar though. Even as recently as November FLOW was making confident noises about loan note holders support and achieving profitability but has just reported a loss of 21 million. itself an improvement on the loss of almost 46 million in 2016. And a Mcap of 430,000 pounds now. Crazy.

A tricky one Cgull because if they slash the dividend to finance the debt then it would be the death knell for the SP. I suppose debt at 4x EBITDA is high but it is a very cash generative company and many of the liabilities are non-current or caused by the acquisition. Perhaps when theys ell off high vale pubs they could use that to servie the debt instead of recycling it into the pub estate.

Morning fundraiser. Philpot and I jhave long argued for set dates for these production updates. I raised it 3 years ago at the agm about the impact on investor sentiment. However as I pointed on here yesterday their usual release dates for production figures are 16th to 18th of the relevant month. I can only remember one time recently when they were released on the 14th and if the company does release the figures today then that would be two days earlier. The January figures which were very good were released on the 16th which is next Monday.. Friday 13th is always possible of course. Sometimes the timing of the releases is 'shamanagement ' but at other times it is a good news helicopter drop. We will soon know!

I agree Dip and was in the same boat myself. I knew that snow would be rolled out as an excuse. I bought in at 675p mainly for the dividend. I was positive after the January trading update thinking a return to 570p was on the cards but am even more positive today. The key is the term sustainable dividend which will allay fears. It also means GNK is in a select band of Ftse companies that are high yielding but safe if you believe the chairman.. A big jump already and I say there is yet more to come. I am looking for 530p to 550p within a few weeks.

Hi Apache, Only just seen your comment so thanks. I am interested in your opinion on its direction. I don;t think we have hit fair value yet on potential, The price of oil has possibly peaked though and this certainly bounces around, I think under 700p it's a buy but over 700p providing it can keep progressing can see us hit 800p. The Dow and the wider market is a risk too of course. So probably too rich for me now in the absence of news or better market sentiment. Still holding though.

so I am quite surprised this one hasn't gone off the boil too. These boiler companies are energy sapping for investors and a drain on your hard earned cash. Wasn't FLOW more advanced than INSP? I know warning lights have been on here for ages but anyone investing in this ahem boiler needs certifying.

so the SP is pumelled again. Very disappointing as it makes any bounce on production figures more pronounced but hardly even brings us back to where we were. I wish the company would join some of the strands together ( Norpalm, Ghana, Guitry) in an RNS and show some direction of travel. Not half as important as escalating production figures but would certainly add some clarity of approach.

Agreed Phil! I am surprised some of the below trades haven't been cancelled unless someone bought baskets of 5k to avoid going to the market. Thanks for checking Phil. Looks like the bid is being squeezed up fractionally at least even in the absence of buyers. History is against your hopes on the production figures as DKL tend to release them from 16th to 24th with 16th to 18th being preferred. Friday is the 13th and that may not be a good Omen. There will be some dressage anyway no matter which way the figures fall. Expect more talk of expansion and record production ( against poor comparatives) but no updates on Norpalm.

today sells? If sells then for sure the market is waiting on news. If they are in fact buys then the actual quote is not a true reflection as we should be 10.15 mid price. I have a feeling the production figs will be wheeled out next week. They may be timed around when the Podcast guys do their interviews as we are bound to get some puff pieces from Lincoln. CPO April futures are 631 dollars according to Index Mundi so lower then currently but higher than historic lows.

It is shipping more water today as it sinks slightly. Just a drop in the ocean comapred to previous falls but still interesting to note it hasn't found its water level.
