The only reason they are listed is to raise money through investors, if they didnt foresee needing cash they would remain private with private backers and/or generic growth. Hex did the same this time last year, said they wouldnt raise via equity and then went ahead and did just that. Sp has almost doubled there since though so its not always a bad thing.

@hammertimes. Never trust any CEO over the issue of fund raising. If a broker approaches them with a half decent offer of cash, they will mostly take it even if they have just said they dont need any. This raise was on the cards as they will need it for the next drill later in the year and on balance it was probably better to take 7p now as opposed to a potential 4 or 5 if Dubhe is a duddie.

A nice little surprise today, was thinking about binning these last week, too many different stocks to try and keep an eye on and be at work all aday, but didn't get a round tuit.

@buzz. You'll have to buzz in and out over the next few months to claw some money back. The outlook for Dubhe is fairly poor as per the broker and the initial results before any further intervention are going to disappoint. There should be a rally once a new 'plan' for Dubhe has been hatched but who knows from what base the rally will come, could be 5p 6p 7p. If they manage to unlock the tightly held oil from the formation and get a consistent few hundred barrels out of it then you will be in the money and from what I can gather, will be a pleasant surprise to the bod and broker. The likelihood is however low, the risk is high, the rewards could be very high. 6 months or so to wait though.

Yes, it's the type of thing to which I was alluding, to utilise the local experts that have been through this stage and potentially work together with a potential buyer to obtain the best result for both. WSBN can't do it all on their own without a fairy godmother and an alchemist. Happy to wait a bit longer for the 'plan' for 2026 to be announced. Have traded here a few times and ready to buy again about now. There was a mood change yesterday and todays recovery is a sign of buying support so just maybe the SP has levelled out.

To say there is no gold is just plain wrong, probably posted by someone in a bad mood and fed up with the effort of breathing :). Shallow areas have proven half decent results and the recent RC drilling will probably confirm THOSE earlier results. They will have to join the dots between the shallow and the deep with modelling and in-fill work that they are currently unable to plan because they dont have the information they need. I reckon that it's all above board and the BOD and geological analysts need to be given time get their sh&t together, no conspiracies or shenanigans. Could be they are also in talks with interested parties, maybe to discuss conditions at which they may be interested in a buy out or discussions on how best to prove up the project to meet the required conditions, maybe no discussions at all :). Interesting eh?

Assays may well be about due for H1 as it has been 3 months since they started on them beginning October + add in a time loss over Christmas. H2 another couple of weeks plus a couple of weeks to make sense of them so March is my pure guess for the update. Anyone expecting 'bonanza' grades should forget it and go across to the latest OMI rns for high grades from near surface. This one is an entirely different beast, huge area, relatively low grades, deep holes, massive volume. A long road to travel yet (literally why they are thinking about building one). Money to be made on the journey if its timed right.

'higherlower -- Exactly. The same as GGP was once upon a time. (but there are more than 3 holes drilled in R.S.) They will need to drill a lot more before it becomes a mine and the PI's and other investors will pay for it exactly the same as every other listed company, so your point is ?.

How are they doing for cash now? any ideas? They had enough to get to production in Summer and must have over spent a little on the delay. Genuine question as to whether they might forward sell something, or wait for income or borrow etc. They must be thinking about funding by now.

I have filtered him. It is the only filter I have and probably only the third person I have filtered in the 15years of being on this site. Idiot is doing more harm than good, maybe working on reverse psychology to try and crash the SP

@badgerbeard. At least somebody understood the point of my post. I have a positive view on WSBN but it's not like a horse race where it will win or not this week. As you mentioned there is a very long way to go yet with a lot more drilling which has yet to be planned and indeed cannot be planned until they get the current awaited results. Then they will need to raise a lot of cash to construct some sort of road and to complete the next phase of drilling. Raise in 1 hit or in smaller tranches over time but cash they will need or a partner that would likely rape and pillage on the basis of its perhaps better have something as opposed to nothing if they go it alone.

They need to be awarded the licence first. Or maybe not, just spin it and pretend eh.

@loiners. FWIW I think you will do OK, folk on here just need to give WSBN the time to get their data organised into a presentable and realistic report. There is still al of of drilling to be done and funds to be raised so its either buy and hold or get in and out as and when momentum changes. Whichever we choose it's our choice.

Ha, sold my last tranche at 110, and waiting to buy back. will be blacklisted as being just a trader! Would be good to see 60's next few weeks. - now a deramper -- have already said that I dont believe anything untoward going on but just waiting for results possibly Feb --- must be a ramper then - or is that subtle deramping? maybe there's a research paper on the nuances of buy sell or hold just so that the right 'label' can be attached.

@Frank. If you manage your sell, fwiw, keep a close eye on this over the next 2-3 months. Personally I do not believe there is anything untoward going on, they still do not have enough information to provide a meaningful update - simple as that. 3 months or more for the assays is not out of the question when considering the number of samples to be processed and tested. Sp is still up 100% from the low point a few weeks ago so it's doing alright. I'm not in here at the moment but keeping a close eye, sold my last ones at 110 and would be happy to buy some back when the time is right (for me)
