Mouse - I was Comms as well. Flags, flashing light, VHF and mobile and satellite comms. I miss the team and the trips but I don't miss the work I had to do in Gulf of Oman though : )

Omar - I have a massive amount of respect for the effort you have put in on this bb since recently joining and I totally agree you have a right to your opinion and I agree with your opinion - it's the figures bandied about that concern me, as there is no way anyone can know accurately!!!!!

I urge you to only spend more time researching if you have the time spare and be careful/conservative with any figures you put out.

I'm watching BBC News Chanel - more tier 4 areas announced!!! The VAST majority of people in our 4 nations are not going to earning to their full potential. From my experience as a Prudential Consultant performing 100s of personal financial revues, people live up to very close to their income EARNED. If people are not earning 100% of their earnings they will start to struggle and will need access to money which is easy to obtain. Amigo is just such a facility and the BoD should be hammering this home to the FCA and Courts when the application is made and judged!!!
I'm confident all parties will see sense and this scheme will be approved for the benefit of the population of our 4 countries so we can get out of this financial mess as soon as possible

I don't think it is helpful to have "educated guesses" and hypothesise as other POTENTIAL investors will read this bb and if they don't do their own research and take these guesses as fact, they won't buy in and may miss out on this potetial!!!

Some claims have already been paid out and gone
not all claims are referred to FOS AT £600 a pop
We have been lending to key workers so earning the company money to pay wages
Claims are only on mis selling on top up lending and not on ALL lending.

I don't know the level of your expertise and access to information, but I think it is impossible for outsiders to accurately give a top figure for redress. We will have to accept that the only people who really know is the CEO and CFO, who have both bought shares in the company they are saving. Unless Amigo categorically come out with a definitive top liability number then I do not believe the total potential redress is £2.6b!!!!
