RE: A compelling case to reconsider FAB - is this the turning point?3 Aug 2025 11:54
AI is quickly becoming a core business function for competitive advantage amongst all sectors. Fusion Antibodies is well aware of this shift and their platforms take advantage of this new technology.
Fusion Antibodies is currently using AI to
• Improve developability of therapeutic antibodies (e.g., solubility, aggregation resistance, stability).
• Predict liability regions (such as potential immunogenicity or poor expression).
• Suggest mutations to enhance properties like binding affinity or reduce manufacturability risks.
They currently offer a proprietary "AI-powered humanization platform" called RAMPTM (Rapid Antibody Maturation Platform), which:
• Uses AI to predict optimal humanization strategies while preserving antigen binding.
• Reduces immunogenicity of non-human antibodies.
• Speeds up time-to-clinic by automating parts of the design process.
Dr. Richard Buick, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer at Fusion Antibodies plc delivered a presentation at the Discovery on Target conference, held September 30 - October 3, 2024
The presentation introduced the AI/ML Ab™ service—a platform combining in silico AI/ML driven antibody sequence design with Fusion’s established Mammalian Display and antibody evaluation capabilities.
AI partners design large libraries of novel antibody sequences. Instead of traditional low-throughput screening, these libraries are produced and screened using Fusion’s OptiMAL®–powered Mammalian Display system, enabling highly efficient selection of top candidates.
