About 40 per cent of investors now want the instant ejection of the chairman Simon Laffin, with 5 per cent-holder Aberdeen Standard Investments joining the revolt over the decision to flog the carrier to Virgin Atlantic, Stobart and Cyrus for a bombed-out £2.2 million. Aberdeen joins ringleader Hosking Partners, with 19 per cent, Stobart’s ex-boss Andrew Tinkler, with 12 per cent, plus a bunch of retail investors.
