Could you dig something out having quick look but can't find that they've had those figures back ?
Thanks for reply smokinjoe were did you read that?
dont now why people on advfn are ignoring the fact that mologic have an awesome home test exacttly what were trying to create already created.
"Mologic is pleased to announce that following rigorous independent assessment by St George’s, University London and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, our point-of-need, professional use, rapid diagnostic test (RDT) for COVID-19 has achieved preliminary clinical performance data of 98% sensitivity at days 14-21 and specificity of 96%".
Teaming up with biosure to supply. And made in half the time. Thats a game changer but apparently the government ignored it in early April???
https://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/news/mologic-and-biosure-partner-covid-19-antibody-self-test
DYOR and told be fooled by the posters on here claiming prices of £1 - £2. NO discussion on research but a overly hyped BB its getting now or desperation. ODX need to get a move in a crowded market??
If mologic can make a poc test of 98% sensitivity at days 14-21 and specificity of 96% surely ODX can. its strange we have partnered with them for the elisa test and not poc test. Looking through many poc test mologic have a game changer one in its hands but they partnered with biosure instead because were in ukrtc consortium. i would be over the moon with the numbers. Thats the best poc test outhere.
Thanks Sneakypete0.1
Product needs to be of quality as competing with some many others (mologic lab test deal) so specificity needs to be upthere. but as i read they want to deal with africa providing low cost countries i think a mention of £1.30 for a test leaves not much meat on the bone if any.
Having £80 million market cap with markets establishing a low PE im still trying to justify how much upside there is or has the real money already been made here?
IMHO
Shipwrecked out of that post is that all that stuck out?
Say one thing and do another
1. The Mologic deal...
The mologic specivity came in at 98%. Now that is borderline for MHRA pass. Could go either way as to different ways of validating it. (If it comes in at 97.9% then looks like a fail).
https://mologic.co.uk/covid-19-update-17-april-2020/
2. Mologic were to sell to the Africa the elisa lab test for £1.30, but state higher for higher income countries?
3. The POC test seems to be a very difficult test to produce on accuracy compared to lab based test. Some companies selling these with specivtity in low 90%.
4. What happens after the 6 month RTC formation? already coming upto 2 months. Would government keep design/% of revenue?
5. How will profits be shared across the consortium 25% each/less?
Alot unknowns
Mologic deal seems to be priced in. So i think no real upside from RNS confirming successful validation. Only upside if they exceed the 46000 production target/orders.? The big one which is POC test is the one the market and everyone is waiting for.
If successful then very good for all but if not and looking at Bojo's behaviour could represent a disaster.
If anyone cares to respond with real answers then please id be happy to listen. Honestly no deramping or ramping intending just honest views.pls GLA
Morethanme... cheers.
Looking at NCYT PE seems to be around 1. If the market bases Odx at 1 too then marketcap is were it's including covid, mologic deal and pre covid business. ?
Interesting chat over PE ratios yesterday by piper and another investor. Betweeen 1-5 which is huge difference. Has anyone looked into the other covid plays and seen hat the markets are valuing there PE ratios at? Couldn't find enough info at the moment.
Cant understand the delay in validating the mologic test is taking so long. CE was marked 27th April. Some were validated within weeks.
The senegal report also states "higher price" (currently being offered at £1.30) for mologic lab test in higher income countries but i think roche and abbotts tests will have monoply on this??
"In low-income countries covered by a vaccine alliance called Gavi, the company is aiming to charge £1, or a little more than $1, for a rapid test for clinics, and around £1.30 for lab antibody tests". (The cost of home-based tests is still to be determined.)
Looks like there on about Roche for the june 1 st tests???? Not us ......??/
unvrkw
Who said this?
And can you make clear your last paragraph?
would it not be an antigen test for track and trace as they need to find out who has the virus and where they have been? rather than an antibody test showing you had the virus before?
I can only assume that test track and trace will be from an accurate lab based test, looking at the people needed to be employed in the thousands. if it is the home test then no need for helpers to conduct results. ???
What happens after consortium time ends in 4 1/2 months? Ay ideas?
