Sometimes it’s better to absorb stuff through reading than being fed a lot of information verbally. Here are some key quotes I think helps paint a very good picture.
Morocco:
“If you’re trying to exit something of this scale, we set a time scale of 6 months to work this through and that process has STARTED.”
“When you are getting nervous over progress, just remember what the ultimate goal here is.”
“It took us 9 years to put together the Irish position from absolute scratch. Zero balance sheet day one, to a situation where we could attract a $7B potential investment. We started Predator myself, zero balance sheet…. We are coming to a situation where we are ahead of where we are in Ireland and we’ve done that in 6 years not 9 years, that’s progress.”
“This biggest progress we can make in the next 6 months is to be able to get the scale of TRANSACTION that we negotiated for Ireland.”
“The beautiful thing about MOU5 and this year and even the testing programme, well MOU3 which gave us the information that allowed us to effectively start the divestment process.”
“So we now have 2 separate fan systems that can be targeted, MOU3 which we believe all are gas bearing, we have not seen any water on the logs in these intervals…. And the attractive thing for us is, yes there’s the proven gas, the 2c gas but there’s now an upside way beyond what our initial expectations that we will address in the divestment process”
(holding back information and showing it to the incoming suitor - updated CPR)
“That will put together everything we have achieved over the last 5 years. Which is drill 4 wells, drill a 5th well for salt, find helium, find gas… develop the huge 150 square kilometre biogenic gas basin in an area that had never ever been explored in over 50 years.. so it’s a new basin”
“You got to look at it from the positive, you start with nothing and you end up with something and you’re trying to sell or attract a huge investment in.”
T&T:
“The rig will ready to operate towards the end of Q1 (2026) and we will drill ‘snow cap shallow’ (snowcap 3).”
“I can get a MSA (master service agreement) with the rig owner who is also involved with our current master service agreement and let him take the risk…… and sharing the revenues with us.” (Reduction is costs)
“Snow cap 4, we will do 100%. There will be ways to fund that through production but I’m hoping also that we always have the ability of a DIVESTMENT whether it be Trinidad, certainly hopefully in MOROCCO before then or around about the same time.”
I don’t think this could be anymore black and white on the strategy and what Paul is trying to achieve here.
We are very close to the transformation of this company via a transfer of wealth.
