Dont expect power prices in the UK to drop. thanks to the netzero. haven't checked today, but power prices looked like they were going to spike to £1k/MWh this evening - that's all because we only had one CCGT available to deliver additional power...there is no wind in the system, no solar and our default back up system (the interconnectors) was constrained because Europe didnt have any wind and solar either. The utter stupidity of closing coal and gas plants without having a proper back up plan is simply staggering...and I'd argue border line criminal - some people are making a lot of money out of it, whilst the consumer pays. Meanwhile more expensive power is closing down power intensive industry - shifting carbon emissions abroad, along with jobs...madness! even if you'd been brainwashed by the netzero zealots, surely you'd still see the madness of the stupid situation we ave go ourselves into.

An offer hasn't necessarily been made - they have a proposal, which might lead to an offer. if no offer comes, or if the terms are terrible, then yes it will probably go back down again. it could just easily go up as down...no one knows.

Why would Esyasoft buy Good Energy - presumably for zap map and then sell off the energy assets to Ecotricity?

Interesting video...my takeaway - well managed company but they are behind on delivery in key new contracts, they want to get debt down and cant do much until flog sukari equipment (which could take a long time) and wont embark on new contracts which require large capex but are looking for an acquisition in North America

There are few things more monopolistic than food...the CMA should look at food quality and pricing! We all need to eat, supermarkets put pressure on farmers to reduce prices which lowers quality, meanwhile the price to consumer stays the same or goes up. very very few big companies control almost all the food.

CGEO has different exposure - sure biggest holding is BGEO and they are BGEO's biggest shareholder...

I'll keep buying on dips - it's a cracking high growth business throwing off cash (not many of those around). Russia is not going to invade, they aren't going to change the government or kick out foreign companies...if you know anything about Georgia this is a completely different context to Ukraine.

Looks like someone at betmgm has screwed up their proposition. I was in GVC very early on, made decent money. gutted didnt get out at the high with the draftking chat....but glad to say I have been out for a while. MGM might come in with another bid but cant see it being a big premium (no one else can bid against them really)...I see this staying stagnant like Ladbrokes did.

The NHS needs a knife taken to it, not more cash or more people. it needs to revert back to being an emergency health service first for British taxpayers/benefits claimants and British people and foremost not all things to all people [across the world]. its nonesense what some people get on the nhs. Anyone that doesnt have a British NI number should stump up with a credit card as they do elsewhere in the world.

If they own 20% of a £2bn company - thats makes up 80% of cgeo market cap...alongside geo it has some very nice portfolio companies with dominant positions in Georgia (though its a very small market). given the weighting of BGEO now in my portfolio i'm a tad over exposed to Georgia - lovely country if you ever have the chance to visit.
