I just tried those 2 links but they appear to be for EQT’s original 32 page Motion to Dismiss 10th Dec and Aries response 6th Jan not this most recent 18th Jan Reply by EQT.

Hey aandi...... thanks for the PACE monitor link! I may have missed this and be late to the party, but I noticed that EQT’s lawyers submitted a 16 page Reply on the Dismissal Motion last Monday (18th Jan)! I’ve read EQT’s original application (10th Dec) and Aries response (6th Jan) but not seen this more recent document! Does anyone have a link to this document or have they posted it somewhere like jumpshare (that someone kindly provided links for the first 2 documents)? I would dearly like to have a read of how EQT responded to Aries own response (which to my eyes was very vague and illogical in places)..... though of course, I have to be seen as biased!

Thanks Avi8r..... I must’ve missed where that was stated! So clearly then you are inferring the decision can only be a matter of weeks at most if the scheduling conference remains fixed at its February date.

So, I, incorrectly, assumed that the Court had already been reviewing and assessing the relative submissions in respect of the Motion to Dismiss and that today was when they issued their order! From Cricketman‘s information, it appears that the Court have not been interested in reviewing the documents until today! So yes, I’m not surprised then that they may take a number of weeks/months to review and respond. Though, what impact would this have on a February’s scheduling conference? Would the motion to dismiss order (which ever way it goes) have to be published prior to 25th Feb or will it have to be postponed to a later date to await the order or have no impact on it whatsoever? Anyone know?

Lol! Thanks V111JAS. You do see some amazing comments sometimes but there is never a reason to lower the standards in responses. With the exception of Cavendish of course!

“.....it’s a high risk share.....” njohnh?! What company are you talking about, because it can’t be EQT?! If ever there was an investment with such a high degree of confidence in its future growth potential, especially so for the AIM market, then this would be it! There’s inherent risk in stock market investments but geez EQT must be at the very low end of risk....as any decent research will reveal. Have you viewed slides from the AGM outlining EQT’s strategy, methodology and state of their project pipeline (which many companies would find enviable in comparison)? 38 projects in the pipeline ( 25 at Offer, 10 at Exclusivity and 3 at Financial Close stage) plus an additional 11 leads outside of the pipeline! Oh, and a further 2 projects beyond Financial Close and now under construction - North Fork Community Power in California and the joint venture with ewerGy for Greece's first waste to energy gasification plant! There are some very good posters on this BB with great research, commentary and links..... ‘aandi’ for example!

Despite all the nonsense that gets posted on here...”you wouldn’t want to be out over the weekend” and “what do you think the SP will be next week or in a years time” and the nervous Nerris brigade who pipe up when the SP drops back etc. etc. it’s relatively easy to find the learned research, insight and commentary scanning through the posts!

I’m glad to see that you consider the stock as a long-term hold as that’s the sensible way to make a good return on your investment but sorry mate....but I can’t agree with your “high risk” view on this one!

The UT trade last thing distorting the movement as usual. The true mid is 2.475 and not the 2.40 from the UT! So when you factor that in, the movement today is a true change of 0.065??(-2.56%)....which given all the shenanigans at the open is a pretty good result considering. Barring the effects of any news (up or down), tomorrow’s open will be blue just to reflect the movement back from the UT to the true mid!

This is just a macro view on today’s finish and for me, has no bearing on my long-term hold of this share. From my perspective, Bandicoot was right on the money.....everyone should take note!

Chunky 4m Sell just posted from 8:50 this morning...... all adds to the picture behind the big drop this morning!

Except they weren’t Buys! If you check my post from last night, you’ll see an explanation!

Interesting to analyse the two chunky late posted trades that have just gone through and shown as Buys well I believe they are in fact Sells!! I’m showing them below together with the actual bid/ask that was prevailing at the time of those trades!

They are:
09:04 - 4,000,000 @ 2.90 Bid/Ask was 2.90/2.98
13:40 - 12,000,000 @ 2.62 Bid/Ask was 2.70/2.75

It’s interesting to look at the summaries of trading volume posted on LSE today:

Total volume = 102,927,368

Total volume bought = 49,995,810
Total volume sold. = 37,478,117
Total Bought/Sold combined = 87,473,927

So the difference of 15,453,441 is largely due to these two chunky Sells. Goes some way to to explain the SP drop today!

Why are there comments appearing all of a sudden of people saying that they’re nervous after today’s drop?! If you have truly researched this company, understand what they’re up to and the expectations for the next 12 months, why on the earth would you become nervous by what happened today. Shares don’t just follow a smooth upward line! When it dropped back to 1.80p the other week, I wasn’t in the slightest bit nervous as I have confidence and understanding in what EQT are doing/expecting!To my mind if you’re getting edgy about the slightest little drop, that signals to me that the person is more of a gambler than an investor. Maybe, just following the herd! If you really want to invest, then do the work and research and understand what it is you’re invested in, the potential risks/pitfalls as well as the benefits! By telling people that you’re nervous, you betray yourselves as someone better off down at Ladbrokes!

Really DoY? I’m here at 0.42 and have no intention of going anywhere at the moment! Why would I, if I believed the SP has further to go. Much further to go! The only way I would sell now is if I was of the opinion that we’ve travelled north as far as we can go in the next few months/year or I needed some cash for something else. I may be wrong but I am strong in belief that the SP will easily make it to 5p/6p this year if not a lot more! So I’m looking at at least double the value of my holding as it is today! I find it amazing when I see peeps selling at the moment but everyone has their own investment strategy and goals! And if people are happy with 10%, 100%, 400%, then so be it!

My focus is on the actual Close at 16:30 before the UT trade was posted! And that’s the basis ordinarily for tomorrow’s Opening! So, absent any news first thing good or bad, the SP will revert to 2.85 at the Open and therefore show an artificial percentage rise (from the 2.77 UT) when in actual fact it should be 0% as 2.85 is the true Close today!

This happens quite often! Conversely, if the after hours UT trade had been higher than 2.85 then would we would be showing a negative percentage at the Opening in the morning.

Well put/explained Roselow! Too many posts before seeming to have not read or understood Aries submission. They are merely submitting a response to EQT’s et al motion to dismiss....due to be heard 25th of this month. The document is not exploring the facts of their case but simply arguing why the case deserves to be heard despite their lack of specific detail as to where EQT allegedly infringed Aries patents. They cite various case law in support for the judge to consider.

Hopefully EQT will be successful with their dismissal motion but if not, then the parties will most likely go to trial if they cannot reach an agreement out of court. As I understand it, the action is limited to Aries US patents and has no bearing outside of the US, so no impact on EQT’s other activities.

No one likes legal suits hanging over the head of a company they’re invested in even if, as in this one, apparently lacking in merit, opportunistic and/or vexatious. Let’s hope DP’s confidence expressed at the AGM results in a win BUT if not, I don’t see this materially harming EQT in the short term. Fingers crossed!

If I were a canny CEO I may time a positive RNS for tomorrow, to coincide with (and help offset the effect of) the first day those recently exercised Warrants can be traded!

As others have already opined, the last few days may well have included forward selling of those Warrants, which would certainly justify the sharp price drop, absent any other news to warrant the movement.

Surely, the Trumpton idiots who stormed the Capitol building yesterday can’t have caused EQT’s price movement! I’m joking if course!

And boy oh boy, EQT is a great demonstration of his quote, at least it has been for me! I’m still amazed at posts I’ve seen on this board of disappointed investors who have already sold out and then regret it! Well why did you sell then? Surely if you’ve undertaken your research and proper due diligence on the company, what it does and it’s near future (and not just relied on information from some of the great posters on here) you may have reached a different conclusion! How many of you took the time to ‘attend’ the recent AGM for example, or at least get up to speed with it at your earliest opportunity. There are clearly some far more knowledgeable people than me on this Board who have have shared their views and research! It is a great community but surely you must take more than a casual interest in the company you’ve invested in! Some people may be in a position where they have to sell no matter what which is regrettable but understandable, however, for the rest, if you’re just jumping on the bandwagon and have no real knowledge or interest in EQT then you can’t be upset if sold your holding (gamble) too early!

I’m approaching almost 600% up on this stock, and if I thought from my own research and understanding that this is its limit, or thereabouts, I would consider finding a new home for my money. But, on my research and investment goals I believe there is much more to come over the next 12 months and beyond under DP’s captainship and so I am prepared to continue on. But, of course, I’m always reviewing my position by keeping up-to-date with the company’s activities and outlook from as many sources as possible.

As best I can tell, looking back at the prevailing Bid/Ask at the times posted, the 2 late Buys would appear to be in actual fact.....a genuine Buy for the 1,000,000 but a Sell for the 5,000,000 (as theBid/Ask was 3.00/3.05 at 10:33).

When you start to see some of the activity today, the fact it did so well and reached a new high is super encouraging! Bodes well for the future both pre-and post Wood Group announcement!
