Would it be unreasonable to suggest there's something else in the pipeline.

My gut is that the accounts won't be pretty (but as expected) but they're also trying to ready something to soften the albeit expected blow.

Is there anywhere you can trade AVCT shares for free.

Reason why I ask is that over the last couple of days I've seen some low low low share trades (today 1 share has been sold for 36.5p) which would cost approximately £5 to do on a platform.

Am I missing something or is this just plain mischief making?

Agree with you Wyn. It's a balance and regardless of your risk appetite for investing you always need to diversity and avoid having eggs in one basket.

Do your research, have your thesis and hold conviction, if the conviction remains and the your price becomes discounted, buy in (within reason)

If the Investment case changes. From a buy to a hold. Monitor carefully why. It could become a sell. Things change and the emotional aspect of investing as you state is crucially important for everyone. That's when you hold on too long.

For me, the investment case hasn't changed from when I originally bought it.

The science is there. It's a disruptor and I don't see anything better. The financials are in question, for sure. But that was the same when I bought it. When/if/how that changes will decide what I do next.

BV - the discovery fund is a unique play for BG. They use it on a best ideas basis and any success from that portfolio then goes into the more mainstream funds.

As I said, they've had an absolute mare of recent record and stock picking has been awful. This fund though has been in a dire market and I wouldn't compare it to other funds. It's a best ideas high speculative play. But they're chasing and making irrational decisions in a backdrop of a maelstrom of crap.

Very cyclical but they are and this fund especially is scrambling.

probably nothing. i'm not interested in the validation of asset managers and for what it's worth this stock won't fit the mandate of 99% of portfolios therefore they won't be compelled to hold it.

some may dip in and out therefore it's no great shakes.

asset managers will be interested with this becomes a revenue generating asset, perhaps once a deal lands, mainly due to the fact that they want consistent, predictable returns. until then, it's high risk high potential play with a lot of volatility.

there's a **** ton of assets out there as well. but for us, we're here, interested and invested.

Keep citing Baillie Gifford as if they are the oracle of stock picking which they are not.

They've made some horrendous decisions whether that's ditching stocks too early or holding onto them too long.

If you've ever met with their managers you'd know the immense pressure they're under to restore their reputation.

They're still licking their wounds from the Tesla disaster.

But you know that, don't you? Don't you?

If you don't believe in what it can achieve, why are you invested, or even here.

Surely without belief or conviction this makes you a terrible investor?

At the risk of a stupid question, how is this positive?
