RE: Cotec talking funding at multiples7 Apr 2025 17:55
Yeh I watched that at the time, very bullish. Even if only some of it comes off there will be a major price correction. My Cotec shares are doing very well today. I took the opportunity to top up there on Friday as they nosedived despite the very positive developments.
Well we are up 8.5% today, after a great week last week, and a great few months. I may not like the man or the chaos he brings, but this time round I have at least developed an effective strategy to make money from it.
The quoted price is in Chinese yuan, and is mostly influenced by / based on trades between Chinese companies. The 54% tariff will be on top of this. Therefore the quoted price on the Chinese exchange is only part of the picture. Our US operations will be able to sell much higher.
I took your advice on gold miners a couple of months back. Had sold down almost all of my US ETF's and switched it to gold miner shares, along with adding some here. Have done well out of the gold shares, so thanks. Happy sitting on my hands here and with the gold and watching it play out.
this where uncrossing trades after close changing the registered closing price **** me off. we are actually up over 7% and would be in the top 10 risers this morning, but due to the ut on friday, it looks like we're down 1.5%.
Anyone else using Hargreaves Lansdown and having issues with receiving funds? Sold some other stuff to put more money in here but cash has not hit my account yet.
Berenberg moved on ask up to 15p. LSE still being slow to update the live pricing. Think we still have a (possibly multiple) big buyer(s) here. Good signs given the carnage elsewhere.
Looking at level 2 seems like the MM’s will open it at 14p on the bid and 14.5p on the ask. There was an MM on the bid at 14.5p but it moved lower after another went to 14.5p on the ask.
Yeh some chunky delayed buys as expected. On the uncrossing trade, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that far away from the closing mid price. Any idea why that would happen? When we open on Monday at 14.75p it will look like the SP has dropped by 9%.
Tbf S&S, Major Tom has been a long time commenter and has added value to the board. I don’t think he was trying to sew doubt. Obviously I think it’s a crazy time to sell out given the events of today and how it plays in perfectly to our strategy, but these are crazy times and each to their own.
